Good locationPosted Sep 20, 2014
Negative side: 1) Supposedly there's parking provided as quoted in expedia and we asked and the staff (probably she's the owner) said we had to call ahead of time to reserve which was nonsense. As no parking was provided we had to park outside on the street with the paid parking spaces which was ok. However, as I did not have coins so I asked the hotel staff (the owner) to give me some small change of coins from a bill but she said they did not have any. So what could I do? Should I leave my car outside with the risk of being towed or given a ticket? I could not believe the hotel staff could be so not helpful and friendly 2) We (two gals) requested two beds when we booked but they said nothing was available. I had to sleep on the floor as I could not share a bed with someone after a 5 hours drive with another long drive the following day. So I requested an extra blanket but the staff (the owner) asked me why I would need two blankets for two person? What kind of service? 3) There were lots of spiders inside the room crawling around (not small ones) and basically I could not sleep at all. 4) During breakfast in the hotel which costed 13 euro per person. There were only bread, cereals, boiled egg, milk, juice on the counter. The staff (the lady owner) asked if we wanted any ham/salami/cheese. I ordered ham and she gave me one single piece. My gf ordered cheese then she came back saying there was no more cheese. The hotel was a boutique hotel with only 11-12 rooms

A bit of a let downPosted Sep 11, 2014
Cons: Choice at breakfast needs improving
Location: See aboe; the historic centre of Bourges is extremely interswting.
Hotel conveniently close to station but some way out from historic centre of town. For a four-star hotel the facilities are limited; the breakfast array was among the poorest I experienced in a fortnight in some 7 hotels from the Pas de Calais to Quercy and then in Anjou and Brittany. The range of restaurants in close vicinity poor.

Lovely hotel. Really nice room, didn't really use any of the hotel facilities but all looked good. About 10-15 min walk into the main town.

Good small hotel in the heart of the CityPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness, effiency of staff and the comfortable bed.
Cons: Parking is a problem
Location: As stated above
My wife and I stayed, our first visit to Bourges and we thought it was excellent. A short walk away took us to the centuries old part of town with many cafés,restaurants, bars etcetera. The place was alive with people, music and a general feeling of people enjoying themselves. A memorable evening for us.

Interesting hotel but small roomPosted Jun 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were driving thru to southern France and chose to stay in an area where I had been 50 years ago. Bourges has some interesting sites, including the palace of Jacques-Couer and the cathedral, and both are in walking distance of this hotel. The hotel staff spoke good English, and the breakfast was as expected for the area. The room was very small for two people, although it was well appointed. Since we stayed only one night, we didn't have time to explore for good restaurants, but the pizza place around the corner was very good.

This hotel is gorgeous. In a great spot near the train station, but you can't hear the trains. Also near hire car facilities. A quick 10 minute walk and you are in the beautiful town. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and wished we had planned for longer.
