“"A great value near the park"”

The check in staff was very friendly for a late night arrival. This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and it won't be our last.

“Nothing to Rave About”

This hotel is nothing to rave about. So-so room, but clean. Staff not particularly friendly, so-so breakfast, a little off the beaten path, not very good restaurants close by. The pillows and bed were not very comfortable. Two good things: 1) it's very close to the entrace of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Blue Ridge Parkway; 2) it has laundry facilities. It served our purpose, but we would not return to this hotel.

Area recommendations

Be sure and visit the new Visitor Center and Farm at the entrance to Smoky Mountains Park!!

When to go

We visited this area in mid October and the foliage was outstanding. The traffic was bumper-to-bumper a lot of the time.

“Lily's Mom”

The hotel staff was very helpful and the room was clean and nice. Because the area is a little distance from the casino, it was nice and quiet and not as congested. Apparently the shuttle is not reliable, so we decided to drive instead.

“Great Cherokee Hotel”

Room was very comfortable, plenty of room, very clean. Would highly recommend staying here.

Area recommendations

This hotel is not on the main drag, but a very short distance from everything. It is located on Acquoni Road which runs along the Oconaluftee River. The main drag (Tsali Blvd./Rt. 441) is on the other side of the river. We went to Harrah's Cherokee Casino via Tsali Blvd., but returned on Acquoni Road for a much quicker return to our hotel. This hotel is at great location for people who do not want to be in the middle of everything.

Getting there

We came into Cherokee from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the hotel was located by turning left at the first light. Very Convenient to Parkway.

Dining

We had breakfast at Peter's Pancakes & Waffles. Great Food! Locally owned, great service.

“Good place to stay”

The only thing we didn't like was the rough feeling bedspreads but we threw them in the floor and covered up with the thick comforter and sheets. The beds were pillow topped and very comfortable. The pool was only 5 ft deep put at least we had one... Everyday we seen a beaver and bunny rabbit when we looked out our window. Had free coffee 24 hours. Apple danish was great for breakfast.

“just ok. nothing great.”

Wifi was an issue. Didnt have any internet connection for our stay. Even in the lobby couldn't get the connection. Breakfast was just ok. Hotel was clean. It's safe place to stay.enough parking spots.
