“Try another place to stay next time”

Had to carry your bags up stairs, no elevetor, stairs were steep...

“Nice place! Nice folks!”

Rooms are very clean. Beds are very confortable and the many pillows ROCK! My newphew not feeling well - asked for a late checkout (noon) and no problem. Heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi are nice and well maintained.

“Great Hotel Located Near Cataloochee Ski Resort”

The hotel is located less than 5 miles away from the Cataloochee Ski Resort. From the outside, it appeared old. The decor inside was old as well, but very clean. Beds were comfortable. Each room has your basic amenities, and also had a microwave and mini-refrigerator. If you are traveling on a budget, having a microwave and mini-refrigerator comes in handy. Hotel personnel were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I stayed two nights, and on the second night, there was a mix of snow and ice in the parking lot. Knowing that some guests prefer to leave in the pre-dawn hours, the hotel sent out some of their personnel to clear the parking lot of as much snow and ice as possible. This was a nice touch that showed that they cared about their guests' safety. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The only thing missing from this hotel is a fitness center.

“Very Impressed”

We had just spent 2 nights in Greenville, SC at the Comfort Inn there and this motel was just as comfortable. We had a truly relaxing stay and the staff were very helpful in obtaining any extra towels or coffee that we needed. Thanks for a great vacation at such a reasonable rate. Maggie Valley is a great place to visit in the fall and this motel isn't far from the Cherokee Casino so you have the views in the daytime and fun at the casino at night.

“Weekend fun”

Staff was very nice. The lady that works the desk during the day was great and so very kind. The hot tub was nice Friday night but wasn't working Saturday night. I would stay there again.

“Overall Pleasant experience”

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a very friendly staff. After traveling a flight of stairs to our room (no elevator access) we were very pleased with the room and its cleanliness. We were a bit disappointed to see our beautiful mountain view, not that we were promised one, was the view of a small car wash with no view at all. But, we did not come to stay in our room, so there was plenty of senic views outside of the motel and from the indoor pool. The most disappointing feature at this facility was the hot tub. While the swimming pool was fine for a middle aged couple with no children, the hot tub was just that, a hot tub. The jets left alot to be desired and after traveling for 3 hours to arrive and in great need of a relaxing getaway, the hot tub was a luxury that we were looking forward to. Overall though it was a pleasent experience and with the exception of the hot tub, we would stay here again.
