Clean, comfortable rooms. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was spotless. Breakfast was just okay, but considering that it was free, it was fine. More seating in the breakfast area would be appreciated, as people were waiting for tables.

Great Stay had a baby w/me and felt at home

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness Efficiency Friendliness
Cons: We did have an issue with the room being double booked. Someone actually opened the door but luckily we had double locked it.
Location: Too many things
My husband and I went for a long weekend with our 5 month old. From the second we arrived, (5am-after an 8 hour drive), we were happy with the service. It took, literally, 3 minutes to check-in, 5 minutes to get all our stuff and into the room because the rooms are so easy to find. So in a matter of 15 minutes we were ready for bed. Breakfast was great, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Everyone was super sweet and courteous.

Better hotel for the area

Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: Friendly, CLEAN
Cons: More parking, poor stairwell design - could only access certain floors with specific stairs.
Location: Wheels through time museum, cherokee close by. Ghost town in the sky... lots of vendors.
Nice clean hotel, higher quality than others in the area. Large indoor pool and hot tub. Only negative was no elevators. Not a problem for us, but just noted.

Labor Day Ruined

Pros: Leaving it.
Cons: Change/fix things listed above.
Very musty smell in hallway; very hot hallway; terrible colors on walls and carpet--looked nasty. Large leak stain on ceiling; bathtub about 10" high.

We stayed for one night passing through. The check in was very quick. They had everything ready for us. The room was very clean. The hot breakfast was nice. There was not much seating in the breakfast area. That is the only negative thing about the stay.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY

We booked two rooms at this property and will say we were beyond pleased with not only the friendly staff, but the property itself. The rooms were recently updated and absolutely beautiful. Proper refrigerator, microwave and anything else that you could want. The vending machines were super cheap if you needed a candy bar or coke as well as the ice machine which were right down the hall behind a closed door to minimize the sounds. The breakfast was fresh, with many, many items and kept hot and replenished right up until they closed it at 10:00 a.m.. The grounds could use a some landscaping and the pool area was very clean and inviting. We have a service animal and they also welcomed her with open arms, even though the hotel has a no pet policy. So anyone wanting to book this property, you can do it without any doubts! Thank you Comfort Inn of Maggie Valley for a great stay!

Friendly, convenient, comfortable beds

Not brand new, so some areas showed signs of age (doors and pool area). However, newer and nicer than some other hotels on the strip. Not fancy, but staff was very nice and rooms very clean and comfortable. Small but sufficient breakfast in small sitting area - sit outside to take in the view. Quiet but still very close to main area of Maggie Valley. Sidewalks allow walking to surround areas. Accommodating of tourist on motorcycles.
