“Our Second Home”

We're very pleased with this hotel. We know what we're getting and haven't been disappointed in the last 5 years! The hotel staff and manager will work with you if you have to have the floor level for instances, I've recently had foot problem and couldn't walk up down their stairs. They made sure I was comfortable...This is the best hotel in Cherokee!

“Very Relaxing Stay”

There are some not-so-nice reviews of this motel dated 2009. Apparently work has been done because we were happy with our choice. We agree it's a small motel, only two floors, and away from the traffic and gift shops. That's what we wanted. We chose a balcony room. Our room was very clean and larger than we expected, with nice furnishings and carpet. Two queen beds, flat screen tv with satellite channels, separate area with a loveseat, reading lamp, coffee table, and a table with two chairs. Free wi-fi. We had a balcony that faced a small yard area and the river and woods behind. The heat/ac unit was new-looking and not too loud. Running it on "fan" all night kept us from hearing any traffic. It's right on Hwy. 19 just three or four miles from Harrah's. Close to everything, yet in a quiet area. Good restaurant across the street where we enjoyed a seafood and prime rib buffet. Plenty of parking. Excellent housekeeping staff. Trolley stop on premises, but if you're going to Harrah's just drive there. The huge, new parking garage takes you right to the casino floor and parking is free. There's a new movie theater where we saw Contagion on opening weekend. This is the Cherokee Reservation. You won't find alcohol, so bring your own. We needed to rest and we did rest. We will return next year.

“Short stay, great hotel”

We were very impressed with this hotel. We had a great view of the river, beds were very comfortable and room clean and large. We stayed during the winter so cannot comment on the pool or hot tub but the hotel was a definate "go back" type of place.

“A very nice stay”

We were delighted to get a free upgrade to a suite with a sitting area that looked out over the "back yard" and a stream. The breakfast every morning was very good and set up in a a large room with a big deck for eating outdoors on a nice morning. It was conveniently located to some of the hikes on the east side of the Smoky Mountains. It wasn't warm enough to use the pool or hot tub, but they were both good-sized and looked nice.
