The Comfort Suites was clean and staff friendly. It would be a better place to stay during the summer to really enjoy all of the amenities and the location of the hotel. Overall, it was a good place to stay.

Gateway to Smoky Mountain adventure

Posted Jan 12, 2015 on Hotels.com
Short stay overnight. Went backpacking in the National Park, but had to drive 5 hours to get there. By arriving Friday night it gave us a full day in the park on Saturday and Sunday. This hotel was ideal location. The price was comparable to local hotels, but I knew what I would be getting with the chain. It is comparable to other Comfort Suites. Staff was friendly and even let us start eating breakfast 10 minutes before the breakfast bar technically opened. Good warm breakfast that fueled our day's 12 mile hike. Comfortable room and good service. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel, ugly town

Posted Jan 9, 2015 on Hotels.com
The location in the map is wrong. the true location is 1.5 miles north. The hotel was nice, new and clean, and the staff was helpful. However Cherokee is a terrible town that you should only visit if you want to sleep close to the Smoky Mountain Park. There were no interesting restaurants close to the hotel and the only dining options are in the casino (there is a bus every 30 min that can take you there). Next time I will sleep inside the park.
