Out of the way - older facilitiesPosted Jun 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
Thank goodness for accurate GPS. This is certainly not on a main road. There were views, but not a "grand view." This is in a valley and surrounded by residences. We were there for a family event and for that it was perfect. Both beds in our room were ready to be replaced. Breakfast was a step above more commercial hotels. I likely would not choose it again.

Nice lodge, very quiet and good breakfast servedPosted Jun 23, 2013
Location: We were there for an annual conference at Lake Junaluska and the accommodations were close to the facilities at Lake Junaluska.
We booked the lodge early in the year and were pleased with the services provided.

Cozy setting tucked in a residential neighborhood.Posted Jun 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
I expect to have more contact with the inn keeper of staff at a bed and breakfast. We checked in and were told the key was in the door. We never saw anyone again. We couldn't get any ice, there was no area to get sodas and no one in the breakfast area at breakfast time, nor at the front desk. Sort of "here's your room, breakfast will be setting on the porch and we're done. Thanks for the money."

the dog has to goPosted Jun 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very nice building, room and air conditioning. Breakfast is skimpy. Above all, the viscious little white dog should be removed from the property. Our greeting at the front door was continuous barking and growling. We tip-toed through the downstairs to avoid triggering another assault by the dog.

Not the place for mePosted Jun 14, 2012
Pros: Very clean room
Cons: No wi-fi or internet in the room.
Location: In a residential areal. No view, but a pretty little garden
No phone in the room. No internet or wi-fi. The breakfast was served from 8 - 9:30a.m. but I had to be in meetings by 8 a.m. I did not get the room I booked. The staff were very nice, but hard to find. Twice they did not answer the bell at the front desk. This is my first experience of a bed and breakfast so perhaps none of them clean the room, but no one emptied the trash or made the bed during my 3 night stay. However, I must stay that this was probably the cleanest room I have ever stayed in. There is a nice little garden and gazebo however, this B&B is in a subdivision so I really don't know why they have the name "Grandview Lodge" The food at the restaurant was delicious but only available on the weekend. Overall this B&B did not work for me.

Grandview Lodge in WaynesvillePosted Nov 16, 2011 on Hotels.com
This was a very nice place to stay. Small I believe there are 9 rooms plus suites in the main house. We hope to go back with a group of friends. It is very "home" feeling in the main house. It is on a quiet street, but not far from the highway. The owner actually called me to let me know he was stepping out and would leave the key as I was arriving late. I will stay here again as it a close drive to WCU as well as Maggie Valley.
