Wedding Anniversary

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: It as nice and clean.
Cons: not a thing
Location: The location was quiet and almost secluded with a very beautiful view of the mountains.
This was our first time experience at Microtel. We were very much impressed. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and courteous. The shuttle driven by a very nice and informative gentleman, topped off our stay. We celebrated our 46 wedding anniversary at Cherokee.

Nice hotel

Posted May 11, 2015
They put me in a handicap room which I wasn't expecting. I am not handicapped. I believe it was the only room left since the hotel was booked that night. I wasn't happy about it since I booked back in December. The a/c was so loud I couldn't sleep at all. I told them the next morning to change my room and they did. The staff was great! Over all not a bad place to stay!

My fiancé and I stayed here for a few nights and we definitely enjoyed it. This hotel was new, clean, quiet, and the staff was friendly. I would certainly stay here again!

Very comfortable bed & great rm layout-queen suite

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: The comfort and quiet.
Location: I headed to the Cherokee Harrah's casino about 15 miles away...didn't want to stay right on top of all the action. It's a beautiful area.
Year old hotel smelled brand new when you walked in--very clean. My mapquest tried to turn me right into the Holiday Inn, but Microtel is actually further up around the bend on the left. Very comfortable stay with a breakfast up until 10 a.m. which was spot on. The suite had a nice layout and could have easily accomodated a couple with a couple of little ones. Bed has a half partition from the sitting area/sleeper sofa kind of arrangement.

Really a great hotel! Nice find!

Very nice hotel to stay in. Took for business with other associates, and we all agreed the hotel was in pristine condition with quick check-in, complementary internet service (wired and wireless), very nice staff, large comfortable beds, an assortment of comfortable pillows, a fridge, microwave, coffee pot and large closet space to place clothes (if staying for extended periods or carrying many items of clothes). Nice clean bathroom facilities. No problems with having plenty of hot water. PERFECTLY clean, cold drinking water (the best from any hotel I've ever stayed.... including 5-star hotels; tastes like refrigerated bottled water). Big widescreen TV with many inputs that traveling tech geeks like me appreciate (for portable devices; HDMI, USB flash drives, Chromecast, AppleTv, computers, etc.) Plenty of accent lighting for different types of room illumination, so as not to bother others who fall asleep earlier (or later) than you. Nice continental breakfast open late in the morning for later (also earlier) risers. Big windows and mirrors make the room "feel" twice as big as it is... it never feels "micro" in any way. Overall, clean, fresh, great service and attention. Perfect for a business trip or a nice overnight couple's getaway.

A+ Again!

This was our second stay at the Microtel in Sylva/Dillsboro area. The hotel lobby and rooms are clean and fresh. Tony at the front desk was accommodating with our requests of adjoining rooms, extra blankets and even directions. We will continue to stay at this location with every visit.
