“Good”

It was a pleasant stay, though we found the beds rather too firm. Also it would have been nice to have a radio.

“Really Nice Place”

Overall we had a great stay in this hotel. It is set in wonderful grounds with plenty of parking.The main house is old and characterful. There are other parts to this hotel which are less old, however, given that the cost of my nights stay was low, I did not have expectations that I would be given one of their higher end rooms. The room we were given was nice. The bed was of great quality, there was endless hot water, and the bedding was nice. We had a problem with the floorboards in our room (they were squeaky) but I have discussed this with the hotel. The breakfast was great, lovely coffee, lovely tea, plenty of choice. If you manage to get this hotel at a discount (and De Vere do offer some great rates), then you have yourself a deal.

“Tired conference centre in need of TLC”

A nice remote location for team building type retreats/ conferences. Some hairy roads to get to it; a lovely drive up to the main house, disappointment as you walk in. Many parts of the hotel heve been left to become tired and old looking, rooms are basic and not the cleanest, though adequate. Walls are paper thin so no good for light sleepers.
