Walls to thinPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Thicker Walls, better priced menu and cheaper drinks.
Location: Jodrell Bank and not far from Buxton where they have a very good theatre. Visited Pooles Cavern which is excellent
Lovely hotel modern rooms excellent power shower. Very disappointed that the new block of rooms have paper thin walls and you can hear everything down to someone going to the loo. Therefore no chance of a relaxing lie in on a weekend. Drinks way too expensive and room service poor as only serve expensive sandwiches after 10pm with a £5 room charge. Pool good as was sauna and jacuzzi however if you do not have children avoid splash times !!!. We did not eat at all at the hotel although we where glad as other reviews was not good and we felt it was way to expensive anyway.

a very enjoyable stay, lovely hotelPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: the staff were amazing in all departments, and couldn't fault the lovely bedroom, and to top it all a great leisure area.
Cons: the only fault was the fresh coffee machine in the bar, apparently the hotel had no fresh coffee,? mmmmmm not good
Location: beautiful surroundings to the hotel.
from the immaculate bedrooms to the spa (excellent jacuzi) great showers in the changing rooms, absolutely an overall lovely stay.

Maybe a good Conference venue, but rooms were poorPosted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel looks grand and the main rooms off the building have some lovely architecture but the bedrooms were tired and old. TV wasn't wide screen, so much of picture was cut off, holes in wall that hadn't been filled, wardrobe door didn't fit .. ... I could go on. Such a shame, has great potential , but needs a lot of investment to bring rooms up to standard of other hotels in the area.

Little wrong with it!Posted Jun 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is one of those stays when you come away and say yes it was good! nothing amazing but what they do they do well. The only down side to the stay was that it was noise at 2am from inconsiderate people staying. I would stay again but not sure I would pay rack rate.
