Pros: Comfortably cheap
Cons: Repairs to the hotel, general maintenance, the carpets and curtains are tired and half the car park has been outsourced.
The heating didn't work and due to the road works I needed to be in by 8.00 pm as the directions to the hotel due to road works are very poor and my sat nav just kept trying to take me back the way that was blocked off.

Due to overcrowding we needed to book into hotel for the evening and we therefore chose one that was local. Unfortunately the hotel was tired and in need of good clean and a refurbished. I would not recommend this hotel and neither would we stay again.

Don't believe the negativityPosted Feb 12, 2015
Stayed here for work and it was excellent value for money. Staff were more than helpful throughout. Rooms were great. Clean, tidy and with full amenities.

disappointedPosted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: Sstaff very friendly, the lobby and bar/restauranr was stunning shame the room was such a let down
Cons: Updated room
Location: Location was great, easy to find and close to main roads
I was very disappointed with the room. I was in room 221, the room was old fashioned, tatty and the bed was one of the worst I have ever stayed in. The bed was so uncomfortable and bouncy it was awful. The bathroom slightly mouldy and tatty and the decor of the room very old fashioned and tatty. Bitterly disappointed. I know the price I had online was £40 room only but that is not the point when you get recommended a hotel. I would not stay there again if in the area on business.

The bathroom was very dirty and hotel quite shabbyPosted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: The Staff , they did their best under difficult conditions, perhaps the owners need to look for themselves.
Cons: Teach the cleaners how to clean and give the hotel a major overhaul.
Location: Business trip so not able to enjoy the attractions .
If we could have moved hotels we would have, but arriving late in the evening we were had to stay. The breakfast was good and the catering staff delightful, they need a medal.

Business StayPosted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: Good value, access and gym.
Cons: Room could hear road noise as Windows should be replaced.
Location: Near M6 Manchester so good access.
Very good value and good gym and pool, the hotel has been updated and room is clean not a real 4 Star quality as not fully refurbished and bathroom dated.

shabby hotelPosted Nov 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very overdue a refurbishment ,the room we stopped in was shabby to say the least. The staff on reception were efficient but not very welcoming. The breakfast was served on cold plates ,no choice of egg one day it was scrambled i asked for a fried egg and was told only scrambled today. The coffee on the table was what the last guest had left, very chaotic in restaurant in a morn.i wasnt impressed with the daresbury to say the least.i presume they are just getting as much as possible for the rubbish rooms.

better than usualPosted Nov 23, 2014 on Hotels.com
I'm a regular visitor due to convenience not choice. To be fair this visit was better than usual as steak was cooked to order and cooked properly.
