Reasonable facility for business location

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Bed was comfortable and room quite large by UK standards. Quite comfortable for business. Gym facilities Excellent.
Cons: Attention to food would be suggested as food is everything when location and functionality is limited. Food was a little tired and limited
Comfortable rooms and obviously a business conference target market. It is a little tired and some of the facilities were not working properly (toilets).. it is priced to be busy and not special and I found it reasonable for the price you paid.

needs updating

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Cons: management, thats were it starts.
Location: location is great, straight of the m56, perfect.
the hotel rooms need a facelift, we had cobwebs on the curtains and on the light fittings, also the bathroom had not been cleaned to a good standard, it just needs someone to check out the rooms once they are cleaned.

Outside of the hotel looks better

Posted Sep 28, 2014
The inside doesn't live upto the exterior or the pics on expedia. When you approach the main entrance you think its going to be a lovely hotel but its actually very average and in need of refurbishment. Staff are v efficient though and the gym is well equipped.

awful room, strong smell of sewage, they moved us

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything is old and the Hotel needs some financial investment.
Location: location was fine as we were visiting family
shocking room, smelled of sewage. They moved us to another room with damp stains with a strong damp smell , it had a saniflow toilet and a half sized sink!! no drawers in the room. on the last night they moved us to a far superior room . It was a disappointing experiance

Nice hotel in good location to Runcorn

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Having used this hotel before I knew the facilities on offer. They meet our needs for our short stay visits, the location is good for where we need to visit too. The reception staff could be friendlier at times and more welcoming to visitors as they are first point of contact.

Welcome pitstop

Although it is out of the way, there was good parking and easy access to major routes. Enjoyed my stay.

Good hotel for the prce

Posted Aug 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Got bed and breakfast for a great price all in so was very good value. This used to be an up market DeVere hotel that is now owned by Britannia. The room was quite old and the TV small with just a few channels but for the price of the room this was fine especially as the bathroom was well appointed. The breakfast was OK and the service was very good. Lots of OAP coach parties stay overnight here which pretty much says it all.
