Great Hotel and wonderful Spa Facilities

Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: The spa and Marco Peirre White restaurant were wonderful
Cons: we did have trouble finding the hotel and it would be helpful if there could be more signs on the roads leading up to the hotel.
Location: There is the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet, and there is Chester Zoo and the Blue Aquarium.
I stayed in the hotel with my sister for one night following a business trip. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff on reception, which made all of the difference after a long trip. In fact as we had experienced a detour due to my Sat Nav missing the turning and a lack of any signage we were given a discount on the evening meal. We booked the Marco Peirre White restaurant which was fabulous. We had a really nice room and we utilised the spa facilities in the afternoon, it was one of the best spas I have visited in a hotel and we loved the hot pool especially. The hotel is in a perfect location for the Designer shopping village and other attractions, I am hoping to take my son , his wife and my little grandson to stay there in the near future as we enjoyed the experience so much.

Lovely hotel, close to Chester

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Lovely hotel, with a great spa - didn't get chance to try the spa out but looked lovely. Lots of outdoor seating area in spacious grounds which were very relaxing to sit out in. Room was lovely, beds can be made double or twin so great for couples or friends to stay. Shower wasn't working but staff were very prompt to come and help. Give a warm cookie on arrival which was a really nice touch. Quiet rooms to stay in at night despite a wedding night do happening. Breakfast was great and even though arrived at 9.30, were seated quickly. Very handy place to stay as just off the M53 and only 10 minute drive into Chester.

A quiet location ideal for car touring

Posted Apr 17, 2015
From the moment we arrived here, the staff couldn't do enough to make us welcome- from the cookie ( even a gluten free one) to the check in staff to the staff in both eating venues. The grounds are beautiful for a stroll and the room was very quiet. This was a great launching pad into Chester (50 minute walk or £ 6 cab fare), Liverpool or Manchester. Marco Pierre White was magnificent to dine in and the sunny breakfast room was a very nice way to start the day.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Can't think of anything that could be improved.
Location: Excellent location for Chester, the Wirral and Liverpool. We visited Speke hall Liverpool and Chester. Cheshire Oaks and Port Sunlight very close.
Overall a brilliant weekend. We didn't have time to experience the spa facilities and will return to this hotel again to do so . A lovely bedroom and a delicious free cookie given when signing in, a nice welcoming gesture. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staff could smile and be more proactive

Smart hotel and perfectly clean but service disappointing. Had booked breakfast rate but had to find expedia emails to prove it. No bathrobes in some rooms. Didn't clear wet towels. Food in Marco p w private dining room great but service slow. Looked nice and clean enough but would choose somewhere with more personality if we return to Chester.

Great hotel, great service

Posted Jan 29, 2015 on Hotels.com
Great service from the off, stayed one night and made use of leisure facilities which were excellent, in particular the spa. Dined in Brasserie as main MPW restaurant not open on a Monday but none the less the food was tasty with a good selection of choices. Breakfast was also very good. Hotel just outside Chester itself but only a 10min drive to centre. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful hotel. Few let downs

Posted Jan 7, 2015 on Hotels.com
Stunning hotel. Very nice little touches. Staff couldn't do enough. Room was a little dusty and the cleaners were outside our room very early in the morning talking very loud it sounded as if they were in our room. The MPW restraunt was closed which was a massive let down and had an effect on the stay
