Pleasantly surprisedPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: We asked for a quiet room and were given a room at the end of the corridor which was perfect for a good nights sleep.
Cons: The outside appearance
Location: Near to the attractions of chester and also close to the motorways.
Didnt look so great from the outside but was quite nice inside. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included and also took the £20pp meal deal which i would recommend. This was 2 courses off the main menu and 2 drinks from the bar each. There was a great choice on the menu and the food was lovely.

Great hotel and location. Fantastic staff.Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Everything - very impressed
Location: Well situated for main roads & motorways.Short trip into Chester for lots of great restaurants , shopping & spa days. Bus stop outside.Taxi £6 to city
Stayed for 2 nights. The room was spacious , well equipped and very clean. Excellent value for money. Breakfast was brilliant - well cooked and ample choice of buffet style full English and lots of yoghurt, fresh fruit and compote and continental choice of croissants and pastries and ham, cheese and salami.Free and plentiful car parking. Near the A55 and A5 - bus stop outside or £5 - £6 taxi ride into Chester city centre. The customer service from the whole staff team was absolutely impeccable - friendly, helpful and polite.Hotel was also very quiet. Would recommend and stay here again if returning to Chester.

Hotel was close to Chester and Oulton Park .Posted Aug 17, 2014
Cons: see above details.
We were in room 407 which took endless time to get to with a maze of corridors. The staff in the bar were helpful but hygiene was poor, many dirty glasses were left on the bar counter for a long time. The staff behind the bar seemed very disorganised, tables were also left dirty and the clientele were very loud from a wedding. Breakfast was good which was a plus point.

As like the last time we stayed the staff was very helpful and friendly. The building looks dated from the outside, but don't be put off as in side its not. Food was great, my son loved the pancake machine too

Lovely Hotel, friendly staff and plenty of room despite having double sofa bed and single roll out bed. Unfortunately didn't have time to try the leisure facilities. Would use again,

My partner and I spent 3 nights at the hotel. Good in every area :-)Posted Aug 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
Everything very very good. Staff are excellent, they make the stay great: friendly, polite, accommodating - an asset to Holiday Inn. Food excellent. Room spot on. Accessibility to Chester and main roads very good. Should not allow smokers to hang around outside main entrance - unpleasant to walk past particularly with children and does not look good. Not happy with wifi robbery - you have to pay for it if your not an IHG member, fortunately I am but still unnecessarily awkward.

Lack of attention to detailsPosted Aug 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overall the hotel was ok and I would stay there again but not eat in the restaurant who really have not got their act toghther. They did deal with out complaints quickly but it is never the same when you have to send food back. Breakfast was good. The room again was lacking in detail,no teabags and a hairdryer that didn't,t work to be only 2 grips. The bed was comfortable and the room clean it just lacked on service.
