“Like the Lord of the Manor”

Very quaint English country manor. The grounds were unbelievable, ponds, English bowles, crocquet, English gardens, etc.etc. The food was exquisite and the service outstanding.

“Beautiful place to unwind, fantastic, peacful setting.”

We had a fantastic 3 nights at Inglewood Manor. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by well maintained gardens and the staff are genuinely friendly and eager to please. Even the chambermaid stopped for a chat and told us that she didn't think of her work as a job as it was just one happy family. The manager told us that they make every effort to only employ people that are exceptionally friendly and really want to give excellent customer service and he has certainly succeeded! There is a very comfortable lounge, where you can also have bar meals and the restaurant is excellent and although not cheap, it is reasonably priced. The quality of the food is great and the breakfast well cooked an plentyful. We had a very good deal with Expedia as there was an offer on at the time and we got 3 nights for the price of 2 and 20% off all food! The cheap price however was reflected in the room and I think when we go again, as we certainly will, we'll pay a bit extra for one of the better rooms. Ours was ok, clean but a bit tired and the bathroom was very small. (lovely view of the gardens though)

“Lovely hotel”

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds. It was unfortunate that we were not made aware at the time of booking that there would be no evening restaurant facilities at the hotel due to a wedding. Nevertheless we had a great meal at a pub/restaurant in Parkgate, about 3 miles away. We missed having a lounge to sit in on our return that evening as all rooms were being used by the wedding party. Satisfying breakfast, friendly staff, beautiful morning stroll in the grounds. We would definitely go again.

the only problem about the hotel is for the amount of money i paid for the room i expected a hell of alot better but everythink else was fine as i was there for a wedding

“Countryside Charm”

Beautiful setting in peaceful location only spoilt by the fire alarm at 5.00 a.m. when the hotel had to be evacuated (electrical fault but no actual fire). Very comfortable beds but our bathroom had a shower over the bath and the sloping ceiling would make it difficult for a tall person to use. Good choice at breakfast but we couldn't eat other meals in the restaurant as it was closed for wedding receptions - best to check this when booking as the nearest restaurant is too far away to walk at night. Lovely garden and friendly, helpful staff. We would definitely stay there again.

“Impressive setting let down by service”

The hotel is set in extensive grounds and approached via an impressive long driveway, it looks from the outside like it should be a 4* or 5* but this illusion is quickly shattered by the quality of the service. On check in we were informed that no food would be available and the receptionist had to read from a script to direct us to our room. It later transpired that a Christmas party was being held and we had not be warned about the potential noise disturbance. Only when we complained that if the kitchen could cater for a sit down meal for so many people surely they could manage soup and a sandwich for their guests was room service offered. The room was spacious and clean but the TV was small and at too low a height to watch in bed (on a coffee table). The full english breakfast was good quality but the hotels extensive use of agency staff was apparent when the waitress's perfume over powered the smell of the food. This could be a 4* hotel but it currently feels like the staff don't care enough to make this happen.

“Rubbish”

The room (17) was above a kitchen or work area. Shortly before 1am on the Monday morning the radio in the kitchen was switched off and whoever was clanging and banging went quiet until about 6am when it started again. The room was a mixture of new (textiles, furniture, bedding etc) and the old - carpets (awful), cobwebs, wallpaper (mold patches). The plan was for a good nights rest before a busy day - ha ha ha!
