If you need wireless then forget this place

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Wireless in rooms, wireless in rooms, wireless in rooms, wireless in rooms, wireless in rooms, wireless in rooms, wireless in rooms, need I go on?
Location: It's in the middle of a business park so the area is pretty bland.
A modern, recently built, clean, standard hotel with one BIG flaw. This is a hotel in the middle of one of the North West's largest business parks. It's near one of the UK's biggest and most famous railway stations. It's next to a university campus. It's almost new. Yet it does not offer wireless in the rooms. You can get it in the meeting rooms and the reception area, and there is an ethernet cable in the room. But that isn't much help if you have a modern laptop, tablet, don't have an adapter, and want to work or surf the net in your room when you want. It's appalling that a modern, recently built hotel can get away with this in 2014. And what makes it even worse: phone reception is atrocious. So, if, like me, you're on business and will need wireless then go to another hotel.

Stayed over for wedding in the area

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Jess on reception was excellent, I called to say that as I was bridesmaid at the wedding I wouldn't be able to check in until evening... She assured me that this was fine and not to worry. Very very helpful indeed. She's a credit to the company :)

A relaxing time in comfortable surroundings

Posted Nov 10, 2014
We booked Ramada Encore Crewe for a weekend break, having stayed at other Ramada Hotels in Derby and Birmingham we anticipated that we would experience the same high standard. Overall, we were pleased to find that we were not wrong. Just a few minor quibbles:(1) the tiles in the shower area in our room could do with some attention/cleaning/ re-grouting af floor level (2) we were not given our Wyndham reward bottled water on booking in and, on querying this after our first night's stay, we were not particularly impressed with the apparent disinterested attitude of the female member of staff on duty at reception at the time, in addition to which, we were only "rewarded" with one, despite the fact that we stayed TWO nights.

Postcode error

Posted Oct 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Please note the postcode on the web site of CW1 6BD is wrong; it is CW1 6XB. Apart from the 30 minutes wasted trying to find the hotel, the rooms were clean and excellent value for money. Will definitely stay again (Now I know where to go!!).
