“A famous and convenient hotel in the city center.”

The Grosvenor is a superbly situated hotel in the historic city center of Chester. It is a short walk to Chester Cathedral, the Roman walls and many restaurants. The staff were very friendly and the room was excellent. The breakfasts were excellent. We had a very comfortable stay. We did not realise, until our stay, that this was a favourite hotel of movie stars James Mason, Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh!

From the time we walked through the door to the time we left the staff of the Chester Grosvenor were exceptionally helpful, courteous, and professional. As part of my work I teach "customer service" training and my experience at this hotel exemplified what I try to convey in my teaching.

The staff was very accommodating and put a new mattress on our bed which felt soft. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Advice from concierge was helpful and friendly. The doormen knew our names and asked about our travels. All in all we could not have asked for more.

“Great weekend break”

Superb service and amenities. Relaxing environment is perfect for a weekend break. Food was high quality and lighter in volume as we requested. Location is excellent for accessing town. Would recommend and will return.
