Old West - Construction in progressPosted Sep 2, 2014
I think the the Holiday Inn in Cheyenne was just showing it's age. I just had to adjust to the aged feeling. After driving past all the older motel's in Town maybe I am being a little critical? There were a lot of construction worker's staying here.

could be betterPosted Sep 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff at Holiday inn was fantastic, however the rooms were not so great. the 1st room we were in the toilet would not stop running and the the tub/shower would not drain. 2nd room was right next to the parking lot. normaly this would not be a big deal. however with all the oilfield workers staying in the hotel the parking lot was busy and VERY loud at early morning hours. The staff was friendly and helpful but the hotel seemed very out dated and in need of some repair. Honestly I will stay at the hotel across the street for reasons stated here and the free breakfest.

Reasonable HotelPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Close to the interstate, the room was clean plus there is a restaurant and bar.
Had a good meal in the bar area, staff were helpful and friendly.

What you reserve is not what you get.Posted Aug 5, 2014
It is frustrating to me that we reserved the hotel room with specific beds for our family - and yet when we got there we were told there wasn't one that we had reserved & the only way to ensure that reservation is to call the hotel directly. But the email confirmation we received said there was no need to call the hotel. The staff did remedy the situation by bringing in a rollaway, but there was not really any space for it so once the bed was down, there was no walking space.

Lumpy beds and no hot tub as mentioned!Posted Aug 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
The ceilings in the hallways were really low, so the halls felt cavernous and dingy. The beds were so uncomfortable (unless you like lumpy), the pool was small but okay but the hotel boasts having a hot tub which has been recently removed (since the signage in the pool area still refers to "hot tub rules"). The food on the breakfast buffet was cold and lacked variety. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling and wants a good night sleep.
