Total Comfort and relaxationPosted Oct 30, 2013
The rooms were very comfortable and nice, the guest service was very pleasing and hospitable. My othefriend had a room which was a bit on the dark side in terms of lighting which I have told her to write in to keep you guys informed, so as the Hotel could look into it and improve on the ambience. Location was also very good, not very far from the ammenities. Keep it up the excellent job by the staff... Thank you for a pleasant and enjoyable stay. My family and I really had an enjoyable outing at the hotel.

Not as expectedPosted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room doesn't meet what we expected. It's clean but too small. not like the picture showed on the website. The floor of shower room is made by wood, some of them are corrosive. The frontdesk staff is friendly but always in the office. Maybe they should set a CATV to monitor if someone need help or a ring to notice them

Very clean, beautiful an well locatedPosted Jun 22, 2013
Pros: Decor, pool, breakfast, travel agency on site, really good English, welcome drink
Cons: no mosquito net, the shower's temperature was temperamental
Location: Perfect, only about 10 mins away from the City Walls and few minutes away from the Night Bazaar
Manathai was definitely our favourite hotel in Chiang Mai and in Thaland. Away from all the noise and the traffic (although 10 mins walk from the City Centre Walls and still within the city, so not in a remote place), it is a real small village made of a few houses almost all facing the central pool. The Pool is small but super clean and can be used at all times although there might be no free towels late at night. The staff is the best you can expect and Manathai also hosts a small but very helpful travel agency, which I definitely recommend using, because there are so many activities to do outside Chiang Mai that they will be able to book it all for you at a very reasonable price, including being picked up for all the activities. The room was just stunning, they were so thoughtful, in every single detail of the furniture. Our only concern was the lack of a mosquito net and that the shower temperature was a bit temperamental. The breakfast was also very good, mainly Western. This is definitely THE place to be in Chiang Mai if you are not on a budget.

Too many mosquitoes... The hotel is inside an lane, so very quite and very scary at night.

Loved the room and ambiance. Some of the staff were a bit surly but overall, very satisfying experience - peace!

The most charming hotel I've ever experiencedPosted Mar 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Manathai Village is simply a DREAM. It is so charming and special that I want everyone I know to get to experience this place. We arrived in Chaing Mai at 5:00 a.m. and weren't sure what to expect upon such an early arrival, but the staff was very accommodating, offering to hold our bags for us, and even offered to have our room ready by 8:00 a.m. By 6:00 a.m. we were enjoying coffee and breakfast in the lovely breakfast area. The hotel's designers did NOT miss a detail. Every square inch is lovely and lush. Like nothing you will experience anywhere else. The bar staff at the pool was not very friendly or helpful. But other than that, I'd give this place 5 out of 5 and recommend it to everyone.

Business trip female alonePosted Nov 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
The MANATHAI was a welcome stay on my business trip. It added a little bit of holiday luxury that isn't found in more corporate hotels such as Le Meridien. The setting was beautiful with lots of wood, water and plants- very relaxing and very friendly staff. My only complaints would be that the rooms were slightly on the small side and the food at the restaurant and breakfast wasn't great. Overall though a lovely hotel situated in a convenient location in Chiang Mai.

if you want peacePosted Sep 11, 2012
Pros: tasteful design, good location- if youre able to find it .
Cons: overpriced breakfast, room had some strange things like few steps here and there and having to go through the (wet) shower to the bathroom
Location: between the river and old town. not far from anything, a bit hard to find when orientation isnt perfect, no tuktuks or street taxis anywhere near.
ok for the discounted price i got it for. not really meant for single people, unless they simply wanna hang around and read a book at the pool. i have the feelings its otherwise a bit overpriced for such an experience.
