Excellent hotel, amazing staffPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The staff were fantastic. Lovely people and so helpful.
Cons: The cocktails were the only criticism I have of the whole place and that may be personal taste but my partner didn't like them either.
Location: Chiang Mai is compact so easy to get anywhere. Night market and excellent restaurants within walking distance (10/15 mins)
This hotel is fabulous but the staff really make it the gem it is. We have never come across nicer people who really go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. We arrived and were given a lovely ground floor room with an outdoor terrace area which was quite private and overlooked the garden. It was our first wedding anniversary and the hotel had put towel swans and rose petals on our bed which was lovely and very much appreciated. The room was huge and the bathroom was lovely and clean with a separate bath and shower. The breakfast was very tasty and they changed the menu daily. They also cooked eggs for you to your preference. They asked about our plans and made suggestions. For example the first night they arranged a tuk tuk to take us to the Sunday market and agreed the price for us which was handy as we were tired after travelling and were glad not to have to haggle. We told them we were going to the elephant sanctuary and they called them to confirm the arrangements and packed bags for us with towels to take with is on our visit. They also called and organised a river tour for us (hotel pickup) and a cookery course. As I said they really went above and beyond for us. The hotel was lovely and quiet. Close to a night market with live music and great restaurants. Hotel pool fantastic although the cocktails could be improved. It was a very peaceful place and I would love to stay here again. Chiang Mai was fab too.

Impressive HospitalityPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: It's hospitality that really stands out at this hotel -- whether you want a beer by the pool or to arrange a driver for a tour, they seem altogether h
Cons: The breakfast buffet was a little cramped -- with so many sleepy people trying to get to the coffee, it'd help to have it spread out a bit more.
Location: It's in a great, quiet spot a short walk from the Chiang Mai night market and old city.
We were welcomed outside on arrival at Rimping Village, and the check-in process was unusually friendly (I don't just mean the apple-juice refresher . . . ) and included a brief orientation to the neighborhood (on a provided map) and a reminder that we could borrow bicycles whenever we liked. Later that evening, a member of the hotel staff brought us a small, delicious birthday cake for my wife (they had noticed her birthday when inputting the information for her passport). It was totally unexpected and quite lovely.

Very good location, great rooms for the pricePosted Aug 12, 2014
Stayed in Chang Mai for the weekend and the Rimping Village Hotel proved a perfect base. Nice large rooms with modern facilities, full bath tub, good value for the price. Fairly easy walk into town and local food/markets. Good location as out of town centre bustle without being too far out. Only downside pool a bit small.

Good hotel in quiet locationPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Good Pool and good breakfast options. Ate in on our first night as we arrived late - good meal. Quiet at night. Drinks reasonably priced.
Location: Close to night markets, river, restuaurants nearby or can walk into old city/ get TukTuk. We had several massages and did Thai cooking school.
Our family stayed for 5 nights. Excellent pool. Friendly helpful staff. Room clean and well appointed. Located 5 minutes from the river, 10 minute walk to night markets and about 20 minutes walk to old city. New supermarket, good coffee shop and massages 3 minutes walk from hotel.

Fantastic incredible amazing place to stayPosted Jun 22, 2014
Ok so the title of my review may sound a little over the top but it really is how I'd describe everything about Rimping village. From the minute I arrived the staff made me feel so welcome it felt like I'd been there forever. If I'm lucky enough to find myself in Chiang Mai again I know where I'll be staying!
