Cheap, so you get what you pay for.

Pros: The room was nice enough, as was the balcony. The lobby and building look good.
Cons: The lobby is hot. The shower curtain was moldy. The front desk boy and girl did not smile. NOT helpful.
Location: Just outside the square (NW corner). I like walking, so I liked the location, but it is a bit far from the night bazaar and the action in the square.
It was between this hotel and another, and I honestly chose this based on the fact that it had a "gym", and the other didn't. So, I go to the "gym" the first afternoon. It is 1 weight machine with 4 functions that has been rusted through weather, and 4 exercise machines--2 bikes that don't work, a running machine, and another. I try to get the bikes working. I ask a passing staffer. They said they don't know, they'll ask someone. She leaves, I wait 20 minutes, no one came. The room was clean, the bathroom was less so. Mold on the shower curtain. The balcony was useful, the fridge was a bit tiny. I may be spoiled, as I live in Japan, where they have a saying "the customer is god." The 2 times I talked with the front desk, they seemed like they couldn't be bothered, and there was no smile, which I found unusual for Thailand.

Friendly staff but not good in English. Location while is acceptable and considered good, traditional Chinese food also available in just a walking distance.red taxi and tuk tuk is just waiting in the door steps. The hotel rate is good and cheap, helpful staffs with clean and comfort room.I will recommend my friends and family to look for this kind of hotel wherever we go.

Nice and quiet

Posted May 8, 2014
Pros: Near to the old city
Cons: Water pressure for the shower.
Location: Restaurant is just cross the road n near to all the convenience store to get what u need.
Warm welcome once we reach there. The whole hotel is well kept but I feel that they need to install a few air conditioner in the lobby ( a bit hot ). The room and bath room is clean. No bad smell. Water pressure is too low in my room, maybe I get the top level of room but the hotel is just build up to sixth floor. They have to fix this. The rest is good. Worth for what u pay...

The room was quite large and very clean. The bed and pillows were especially comfortable. Nice area to walk from.

Good hotel.

Good hotel that was about a 15 minute walk from the main gate. Everything was pretty average; not better than comparable hotels but certainly not worse. You won't regret staying here but also won't find it particularly memorable. There's a restaurant on site but we were the only couple there the night we dined. The food was average.

Too much smoke from the fires in March

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: I felt safe
Cons: Many things I have written about above
The location was not fantastic as taxi's needed every day to go to the city. Many taxi's just said no to this address until I realised the problem was that the address was foreign to them, so I asked reception to write the address large in Thai for both ways as most of the taxi drivers in the red truck were older and possibly needed reading glasses. Rooms and surrounds very dark and dull. The hotel needs a good renovation, but it was an inexpensive hotel. Most reception staff were very nice but had not much English. Kenika was the office manager (I think) and had very good English and was very helpful. The ladyboy on reception took an instant dislike to me and was pretty mean in her own language toward me. The staff in the restaurant were very good and the food there was great. The youngest of the wait staff at night looked half asleep and was not very attentive. Actually if there were Thai's in for dinner, none of the staff were very attentive, but overall the restaurant was a good experience. The tour operator at the front door to the hotel is lovely and her English is not bad too. The tour guide Mr T was great with excellent English. Lastly, Chiang Mai is covered in smoke in March,(as the locals burn off) with many people wearing masks, so perhaps give this month a miss.

Great choice of hotel located just outside the old

Posted Mar 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a lovely hotel located 10 minutes walk from the old city. Given the price of a similar hotel guest house or hostel in the old city, I would opt for this. We also stayed in the old city, but in truth we we further away from the main action. The room was very a great size, we had cable TV, comfy bed, and a great shower. Food wise the restaurant only serves Thai food which is way over priced, so you probably won't eat here. There are lots of options very close by. Would highly recommend this hotel.
