excellent stayPosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: service, decorations, comfort, quietness
Cons: would prefer free-WiFi hotel-wide, not just the lobby
Location: Downtown Chiang Mai, Night Bazaar, and Night Walking Street are within 5-10min car-ride.
Siripanna Villa Resort & Spa Chiang Mai is an excellent location to stay and be surrounded by ancient Northern Thai decoration. The location is beautiful and our room was breathtakingly stunning. We stayed in one the Royal Villas and we had huge room and a spacious bathroom with our personal waterfall. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. They made sure our stay was comfortable and the service was personalized. The hotel went above and beyond to provide breakfast buffet that offers a variety of dishes, including chinese, thai, and american. Dinner at the hotel was also great. We stayed in for a dinner and their duck in stir fried vegetable was the best duck dish I ever had. I would definitely return.

OK for the money with great staffPosted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: The staff make this a hotel to stay at. Most of the few short comings of this hotel are made up for by the warmth and friendliness of the staff.
Cons: The room lighting was done for mood and not for someone who has to work at a laptop or whose wife wants to put on her make up in the bathroom.
Location: It's about a 10 minute ride into the center of Chiang Mai. The Hotel has it's own shuttle service. Return service does not run late. Tuk Tuk is 100bht
Great friendly and helpful staff. There are no elevators and there are three floors, (could be hard for people with mobility problems), but the Bell Hops are very considerate in carrying luggage. The pool closes at 7pm so don't plan on any swimming after that. Breakfast is adequate with Western and Thai food. I didn't try the lunchtime buffet but was told by a local friend that it is good. Rooms are large but I think that they could do with some renovation. Bathroom needs better lighting as does the work desk.

Divine Relaxing StayPosted Oct 4, 2013
Cons: Maybe add lifts but the walking up to the room was good exercise.
I booked with friends to Stay at the Siripanna villa resort & spa chiang mai middle of September 2013. The staff were amazing, very humble, forever helpful and always looking to make our stay even more amazing with each passing day we stayed at the hotel. Being vegetarian wasn't an issue at all as the hotel provided us with vegetarian meals at breakfast time (breakfast was included with our room price) as the buffet breakfast offered mostly meat dishes. However we did enjoy a selection of fruits and juices from the buffet breakfast selection too. The Spa facilities were a little away from the main hotel buildings but the walk to them through the gardens and the feeling of seclusion gave the spa an even deeper feeling of peace. The spa was amazing they use the most highest quality of everything . Would definitely recommend the hotel to everyone!

The hotel and its staff were amazing. They made an effort to get to know us on a first name basis and did everything to make our stay great! The resort is beautiful and is just 10 minutes out of town. We had a great time and definitely would reccomend.

not as flash as you'd thinkPosted Sep 2, 2013
Pros: friendly staff(except the pushy admin girl)
After reviewing the hotels in the area i went with this one. Upon first impressions it seemed very nice.but... the room was not overly clean, mould in the shower, staff were freindly with the exception of the mini bar items i was charged for that were never used... i think the cleaners sampled it and put it on the list. as a seasoned Thailand traveller i know where to buy my bits and peices and the mini bar for ferrero roche' was def not one of them. Neither myself or my fiance eat them so i was a little annoyed. The only upside is my partner is Thai and argued the point for me as they tried the whole "dont understand what you say" routine... she broke the language barrier lol! Also the laundry service is stupidly slow and expensive... $50 aud to wash a couple of shirts, shorts and undies.. daylight robbery it will not be a place i will go again and with so many choices over there then i wont even be tempted

Gem of a hotelPosted Aug 18, 2013
Pros: Great staff
Cons: mattress too soft
Location: Out of busy city but not too far.
This is not a large resort, but is a gem tucked away in the suburbs of Chiang Mai. From the time we arrived at the resort until the time we left, we were made to feel uber-welcomed and comfortable. The staff were outstanding - impeccable, disciplined and genuinely helpful and friendly. We were assigned and personal guest service officer, Kae, when we checked in and she was really superb. But she was not the only one, - even the security officer went out of his way to assist us, when he saw us waiting for a tuk tuk outside the hotel. The barrista at the breakfast counter even remembered our coffee preferences every morning. How amazing is that? I could go on.... Hotels make of break on the quality of their staff, and this resort gets 5 stars because of this. The wifi is not free in the rooms (1000B for a 3 day package), although the resort waived our charges, in recognition of our wedding anniversary. :) A nice touch! But this allows only one connection at any time. You can't hotspot the connection, unfortunately. Overall, a fantastic resort offering very good value for money. You are not paying for opulence, but you will get 5-star treatment. My wife and I spent out wedding anniversary here and were not at all disappointed. Will definitely return if we have the chance. Room Tip: Take the villa if you can. Much better value for money
