perfect value for money without compromisePosted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: location, room cleanliness and ambience, value.
Cons: more continental breakfast would be nice, some cheese, some pancakes. the lobby carpet needs to be cleaned, and tone down the menthol air freshner
Location: its right in downtown so pretty much everything is next to you.
this hotel is equivilant to a basic 5 star hotel in other countries, you really get value for money. the rooms are fairly spacious with good facilities and nice decoration, the bathroom was neat but needs more space . the breakfast is more asian taste, the lobby and corridors are a bit cheesy. the location is perfect in downtown. their travel agent lady was ripping me off like hell, you dont get what you pay for, u gota bargain and get the itinerary on paper to be safe. i felt everything was clean and up to standards and i would go again there, i save money and get good quality.

Excellent choice and superb location !Posted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Accessibility to every corner of the city. Located at a busy street where you are assured of 24hrs safety. No problem in getting food and drinks.
Cons: Hope the Management can include a dish, or two ... for the sake of their inhouse guests who are vegetarians (buffet breakfast).
Location: Roadside stalls selling all sorts of goods, outside your hotel every evening. Seafood restaurants, bars provide endless choice of food & entertainment
Our family really enjoyed our 3 nights stay at this hotel. Wish we could stay longer. Bountiful of bargain shoppings & food choices are just outside your hotel. If you wish to wind down ... Starbuck & Haagen Daas are just next door ... Burger King & KFC are just across the road, to please your kids. Daily Warorot Market & Nightly Anusan Market are just within 5 mins walk. We even had occasional foot massages too (just a few mins walk from the hotel). Honestly, we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and their superior rooms were pleasantly designed to our satisfactions. The Management must be praised ... for training their personnel so well. They (receptionists, checked-in counters, luggage assistants, breakfast coffeehouse and even their housekeeping maids) were so full of warmth & hospitality ... and always smiling, approachable and courteous. The only bad experience we had, was ... our taximan let us down for check-in purpose, through the side entrance of the hotel (because that was where their check-in counters are). As such, we thought that was the only entrance in & out of the hotel. We only found another passageway to the Main Entrance a day later, when a cab left us there, when sending us back after some visitations. It is hoped that the Management will look into this & remind their staff to kindly inform all check-in guests.

Location: Night market very recommended
Nice hotel near to the night market. The carpet in the room was not so clean ad it wasn't nice. The stuff was friendly. The location is ok near to the night market. The breakfast was great.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times. I choose it because of an excellent location right in the middle of the night market and a reasonable price. They have been renovating the hotel for years. I am not quite sure what is taking so long. There isn't really a restaurant. The place for breakfast is on the third floor. Depending on where you are staying in the hotel you may need to go down to the ground floor, walk over to another set of elevators and then go up to 3. The service is good. The rooms are nice. My biggest concern is that if they ever get done with the renovations their prices will go up considerably which will make the place less attractive. There are other options close by that are nicer but cost more.

Great managementPosted May 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
We chose the hotel from the info on hotels.com, for its location close to night bazaar and also the bath in the room. When we checked in late at night, no bath. We queried it next morning and it was explained that the info on the site was incorrect, however after viewing our confirmation email they promptly upgraded us to room with a bath, for no extra cost. Very professionally dealt with and they asked for copy of email so they could correct details on site. Fantastic street with plenty of pubs, restaurants and massage places, and even though some renovations still happening, would definitely recommend hotel. Breakfast was terrific, with different selection each day.

Need to do more for improvementPosted Mar 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Basically, I have a pleasant stay at Suriawingse Hotel but conditions on many areas still need to improve. Location wise is fine except overall appearance of the hotel lobby/main lobby are not up to standard yet.
