A fantastic stay every time!Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Room spaciousness, welcoming atmosphere, the friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: The only setback is the lack of an outside pool, but this is a hotel within the city walls... It has an internal pool though.
Definetely a recommended stay in Radda in Chianti. We stayed twice in this hotel and in both occasions we were truly satisfied with the feel of the building, the warmth of the personnel and their manners, the richness of the breakfast and the relaxing atmosphere. Each room is different, but they are all very spacious, tastefully decorated, with huge beds, comfortable bathrooms and - in our experience - lovely views over the Chianti hills. The staff is always smiling and happy to help, provide indications and suggestions. The breakfast is an experience in itself. It is served in an original kitchen dating back a few hundreds of years and the choice of buffet could keep you busy for several hours. We will definetely come back again!

Tuscany wedding W/EPosted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: The building, furnishings, staff and food!
Location: Good for vineyard visiting and wine tasting! East access to St Gim etc and Siena.
We were attending a family wedding which took place in Radda. Hotel was a minute's walk from wedding ceremony at Radda town hall but the wedding venue itself was a few miles away. Radda is a delightful, small, Tuscan town with pretty rustic buildings including a church, some small cafes and restaurants. It's hilltop setting means you get some panoramic views of the stunning, pristine countryside. Palazzo Leopoldo is a very relaxing place to stay. It is furnished with antiques and oozesrustic charm but is also very comfortable and beautifully maintained. The buffet breakfast was mainly fresh local produce and was served in the delightfully cool and spacious dining room, or could be taken out to a terrace area, which had panoramic views. The hotel staff were quietly helpful - especially when we needed a very late night taxi to get back to the hotel! We thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Amazing stay in restored renaissance palazzo...Posted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Absolutely loved it. Located in the heart of charming Radda, palazzo Leopoldo is an affordable gem with great breakfast, huge rooms with antique furniture, an amazing balcony facing the valley (from which we saw fireworks), a heated indoor pool, and so much more. Plentiful parking. Close to tons of great wineries. Grab a bottle and crack it open on the patio and watch the sunset.

Quaint hotel, beautiful decor & cleanPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Location, decor, cleanliness and the responsiveness of their professional staff. The air conditioning worked great too!
Cons: The cost of an on site soda was really high and would recommend stocking your own.
Location: The site is located in the heart of Tuscany so we toured castles, visited wineries, bicycled and hiked. We ate too much and enjoyed the local shops.
Conveniently located the hotel staff was at their best from the time we arrived until the time we left. They were attentive and helpful time and again. The breakfast experience is well worth the cost and the inddor pool is an experience in and of itself. This was a return trip for us and we would immediately return to this hotel on a moment's notice.

Right in the middle of Radda in ChiantiPosted Jul 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
My wife and I stayed here in the second week of our tour of France and Italy. It is a little tough to find, but it's in a great location right in the middle of Radda in Chianti. You can drop your stuff off right in front of the hotel, but have to park on the street. There is plenty of parking right around the hotel, so this isn't an issue. We weren't overly thrilled with the room we were given. Can't remember the number, but there was only a skylight, no windows with the exception of a tiny one in the bathroom. We asked if there were any other rooms, which there weren't that night. The next morning, they showed us room #10 and it was perfect. Two big windows overlooking the main street, balcony, and great view of the vinyards in the distance. I would highly recommend this hotel, it was the best of our whole trip!
