Connected to Makuhari Messe (exhibition center) and Kaihimmakuhari station by a covered walkway. Close to shopping areas like Mitsui Park Outlets and Aeon Mall. Unfortunately, no convenience stores inside and hotel is due for a renovation, feels really old.

I am a first time traveler to Japan and Hotel New Otani was my first proper hotel that I have stayed longer than 24 hours besides The Royal Park at Haneda Airport which I had stayed only 6 hours after my flight from Bangkok….. I am impressed with the service, the attentiveness, caring, professionalism of the staffs and cleanliness of the hotel is top notch 🙏 I am definitely coming back next year! どうもありがとうございます

We love the indoor tennis court and nearby seaside. It happened that morning has a favourable weather with breeze & no summer heat where I enjoyed a jog from the hotel to the seaside.

Gym hours are inconvenient
Overall, the hotel is a decent, if non-descript, option in Makuhari for attending/working an expo at the Makuhari Messe. The restaurants were good. However, the hours of the physical fitness facility, 12-8 pm and closed on Monday, are terribly inconvenient. If working the expo, and then going to dinner with co-workers (which happened almost every night of my stay), it is impossible to use the gym. The hotel needs to expand the gym hours to be at least 6am - 10pm every day.

Everything is fine except the cleanliness in the room. Full of dust at the curtain where u can see the thicknessof dust with your eyes. The carpet is dusty and look very old. So not good with family with kid or old people. I am choosing 4 adults and 1 kid room which is pretty small when added 2 extra beds inside. Toilet and shower are in the same area so quite difficult for 5 of us to use.

Walking distance to JR Kaihimmakuhari station and eateries and Mitsui Outlet Park Makuhari. Makes it a convenient location and room is considered very big for Japan hotel standard and the public airport limousine bus stopped by right outside one of the back exit! Would be wonderful if I Don’t have to pay extra for breakfast for my 7 year old child! If she’s 10 years old and older - it would be free since my room is for 3 adults! What a weird rule - it’s like children are not welcome. Other than that, “It’s A Great choice.

Good location for conference and exhibition facilities. Fair degree of English spoken. Pay for a room with a view ... you'll get Tokyo Bay and Mount Fuji and it is spectacular. Restaurants on site are pricey, but there are a whole bunch by the railway station stacked on floors in the Plena building, think it was, that will suit any taste. PLEASE DO use the pool and sports club facilities, Club+Club, which, if you are an English speaker, isn't immediately obvious. It costs about 3,000 yen, but it's a wonderful facility and well worth the price.

Superior rooms are nice, standard rooms are quite grim and should be avoided. Quite disappointed that the only bar in the hotel appears to close to hotel guests if there is a private function booked. When we queried where we could get a drink, we were told to walk down toward the train station. Any decent hotel should have at least 2 bars so guests have the option of staying in the hotel and using the facilities they have paid for.

Located next to Makuhari Messe, it was very convenient and clean. We stayed for a week for the conference and had Teppan yaki dinner in the restaurant on the top floor with ocean view, breakfast and some desserts at the cafe. This hotel even had a shuttle from Disney!
