Disappointing service, good location

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Great drinks at the bar
Cons: Service and elevators.
Location: Fantastic champagne bar across the street, convenient grocery store down the block.
The good: Modern furnishings and a great bar atmosphere, delicious drinks. The bad: Couldn't get into our room until 5 pm, which was hard for my 65 year old mother, she's a go-getter, but we had traveled that day and she really just wanted to have our room to take 10 minutes and rest. I am an elite rewards VIP member from expedia, and that really didn't amount to much, even though this was supposedly a VIP hotel. No offer of upgrades, late check-in, hotel cleaning service still hadn't come on Sunday and it was 3 pm, and we had left at 10:30 am, giving them ample time. The elevators literally took between 4-10 minutes each time because they were so slow and small. And finally to top it off, I accidentally left my iPhone charger, and called within 15 minutes of check out. After being placed on hold for 5 minutes, I let her know and she said they would send someone up to check for it and call me back to get my info to send it to me. No call ever came. Literally the worst hotel service I have ever, ever experienced. I will not be back and I will not recommend this place to anyone.

nice and at the center of everything

Was pleasant and not much to complain about. The gym was a little small but serves the purpose except when you had more than one person trying to utilize the same equipment. The staff where pleasant and the rooms where nice and very comfortable.

Excellent Chicago a Hotel Choice

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Comfy rooms, very trendy decor. Absolutely loved the "knock and drop" coffee. Nice touch!
Location: Excellent location for use of the L.
My fiancé and I loved this hotel. On our last trip to Chicago, we stayed at Hard Rock, which was nice, but Acme was even better! We loved the decor. The room was comfy. The bed was outstanding and the rain shower head in the bathroom was super relaxing. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We loved the location, just steps away from some great dining and drinking. The hotel is also steps away from a red line L station on Grand.

Location: Great location, easy walking distance to all sightseeing and also Magnificent Mile and Theatre district only 10 mins walk.
Really clean and tidy with funky decor. Comfortable bed and great shower. Close to downtown and easy to walk everywhere.

Great location

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: The night light red lips in the bathroom were a little much. The mini bar clicked all the time
Location: Great shopping and restaurants right around the hotel.
Hotel is ok. We liked the location but the hotel was a little over priced for what you received.

Nice hotel, close to everything in downtown Chicag

Great hotel. My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast and free coffee is delivered to your door in the morning if you choose. Super eclectic, artsy and unique hotel. Great location for shopping, eating, the beach, and the train station. If you want something other than a nation chain hotel and a reasonable price, I definitely recommend this hotel.

Best accommodations experience I have ever had

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
I travel a lot. I have stayed in plenty of hotels. This location is, by far, the best I've ever stayed in. I say this as it relates to proximity to attractions, public transportation, quality and cleanliness of the room and hotel, friendliness of staff and their willingness to aide with directions and recommendations on 'things to do'. If you have any questions, call "John" at this hotel. He is the best.

Good location, close to major tourist spots

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: The Quirkiness
Cons: Room Service could have changed the sheets daily, they simply made the beds without changing the sheets.
Location: Near major tourist spots like Michigan Avenue, John Hancock Tower, Navy Pier etc.
It is a really cool hotel with its own personality, you can see that special thoughts were put into decoration and renovation of the place. I liked the quirky touches all around the premises, from the cool hotel cards to the lips motif on the bathroom mirror. Not all rooms have great views, in fact, mine had a view of the wall but I don't spend enough time inside for me to mind that at all. Overall, a really nice place to stay!
