Awful service, decent room.

So, I arrived to check in about 20 minutes 'till 3:00, I walk in the main entrance and there is buckets on the ground collecting water that's dripping from the ceiling and running down the walls. Gross. I come to the front desk and approach a very strong accented Indian/middle eastern man that just kind of stares at me waiting for me to address him. I say I'm here a little early but I've had a long drive so I would like to check into my room, I had a reservation through hotels.com. He immeadiately informs me that he doesn't know how to access the hotels.com reservations and that I would have to come back at 3:00 so another associate could get there. Keep in mind it took a few minutes for him to figure this out so I wasn't that upset, seeing as I would only have to wait maybe 15 minutes. I go to my car, wait, and come back at 3:00. No one has gotten there so I sit down on a couch and wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. I waited until around 4:00 when I finally started complaining. He gets pretty rude and snappy. He speaks broken English and was gettin angry at me for not understanding what he was babbling. Long story short he puts me in a room and warns that when the other associate gets there and they can't figure out the reservation, that he'll be charging my credit card. Turns out he was the hotel manager. Terrible service, terrible location, pretty clean rooms and bedding, other than that, 2/5 stars.

Horrible Hotel

First of all the hotel looked nothing like the pictures online. The pool was being "remodeled" which was part of the reason we booked this hotel. The bath towels were more like hand towels and as thin as a paper towel. Our room was not even cleaned two of the days and we had to go to the lobby for fresh towels. We had to get new room keys twice because they wouldn't work. One night we came back to four police cars and the lobby caution taped off so we had to enter another way and the staff were useless. If you value vacations don't stay here!!!!!!!!!

No heat and couldn't switch my room until the following day because they had a party the night before and no housekeeping, so even though their were only 4 cars besides mine, this hotel had no rooms available out of about 75! Couldn't give me extra blankets because they were all dirty--had one sheet and one thin blanket, not even a bedspread! Will never stay again!!

Pros: Waffles for breakfast!
Cons: Hallway carpets could be steamed. Potatoes were burnt at the breakfast. Also cable could be updated.
Location: Good food at at El Tesoro down the street!!
I liked the hotel overall however it had a feel of being poorly built. The continental breakfast was good, waffle iron was available; my favorite. :) The pool was also being worked on but no one told us that until we got there. It should have been made known to us.

Decent hotel

Cons: Possibly the breakfast options. Didn't have a good variety of food
Location: 30 minutes from downtown Chicago. Restaurants and other typical shopping places down the street.
Nice stay. Didn't have a fridge or microwave inside the room but other than that everything else was alright for a night or two night stay.
