Location, location, location!Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: The location, services, and cleanliness were very appreciated.
Cons: Some of the aging bathroom fixtures as well as the shower surround could be replaced. Otherwise everything was fine.
Location: The hotel is right next to the Grant Park and Field Museum as well as a few blocks from the Art Museum. Easy access to everything.
We really enjoyed our stay for a number of reasons. Firstly, the location was fantastic with the park across the street, and museums within easy walking distance. There are lots of events happening in the neighbouring parks and getting around is easy with buses and the L Train running right by the hotel. Restaurants are everywhere and quite affordable. Grocery stores are just behind the building. Secondly, the staff was very helpful and friendly which was very appreciated. We asked for a fridge and one was brought to our room immediately. Thirdly, the rooms were very clean even though the building and facilities are beginning to show their age. We are definitely returning to this hotel on our next trip.

Good for young familiesPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: With young kids, quick walk to museums & Grant Park - away from busy shopping Also, nice to be able to walk to Bears games
Cons: Add included breakfast & update rooms/lobby
Location is close to museums & the park. The outdoor pool was ok, would not be fun for kids in the winter though. The bar/restaurant was ok, not really a place to go as a destination, more of a default of being next door.

You get what you pay for as they say.Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The front desk people were friendly and knowledgeable. While it wasn't the perfect hotel, it was one of the best priced in the neighborhood.
Cons: Some updating.
Location: Great Location, close to the museums and grant park
Stayed in an accessible room. The room was a little small so it was not the easiest to navigate with my power chair. The lights over both night stands were not working. I could have called for help of course, but since the other lights in the room worked I didn't bother. Both the door into the room and the door into the bathroom were hard to open (meaning they stuck to the frame when fully closed).

close to grant parkPosted Aug 15, 2014
Cons: lower price for parking. Pool area updated.
Location: so much to do, suggest not taking a car, but using local transportation. what to do nearby ? use trip advisor.
great, and helpful staff. See trip advisor for things to do. we followed it and had a great time. Did all things Frank Lloyd Wright, and Wrigley Field.

Old, overpriced, needs work.Posted Aug 14, 2014
The best western is not the level of quality I usually pick in a hotel. But I was looking for the closest walking distance to a concert at the pavilion. That was the only benefit. The lobby will fool ya. The rooms are dingy and the beds are hard as a rock. The windows were filthy. The air conditioner only worked if the plug was positioned just right in the wall. My 6 year old son was quite unimpressed if that helps.

Nice placePosted Aug 12, 2014
Bed comforter had a hair on it, no shamoo or soap in room when we arrived. Staff brought what we needed, and some extra towels very quickly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Valet parking was fast, car was put in secure garage. Location is excellent, walking distance to parks, museums and nice restaurants. Would stay there again without hesitation.

Close to everything downtown.Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The front desk is very friendly.
Cons: The rooms should be updated.
Location: Right in the heart of downtown Chicago. Grant park is right across the street. Close to great restaurants.
Nice little hotel on the corner. There is no sign that tells you where to Valet your car, so you have to go inside and ask the front desk.

Filthy, Tiny and Lousy StayPosted Aug 10, 2014
The room was dirty, so dirty you can see the dust hanging on the curtains. The room is terrible small. The location is not that awesome, you need to walk a lot or rent a divvy like a I did to get around the best places on Ave. My room didn't have microwave neither a small fridge. In next in Chicago I will stay someplace else.

Hotel is clean, but it is so cold and out of date.Posted Aug 7, 2014
The staff at the hotel were nice to work with. Cleanliness is okay. The real issue is this hotel has not been renovated in 20 years. At least the beds are comfortable. Only stayed here because were no other options in town.
