I'd stay here again.Posted Feb 24, 2014
Everything was fine. Clean rooms, comp breakfast was more than enough with some decent choices. Pool is very small and besides the blond girl who worked the desk on the night I checked in who was fantastic, the rest of the staff I encountered seemed to be miserable being there and were not rude but by no means were they friendly at all.

close to gurnee millsPosted Jan 13, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, breakfast provided, nice size room
Cons: Pool, hot tub and work out facility needs improvement.
Location: Gurnee Mills mall
The hotel was fine...few things were disappointing. The pool area was very cold and so was the pool-kids only lasted about 15 minuted because they were so cold. Should have said something at the front desk. Hot tub was not operating. Not sure if the room was cleaned very well a used cup was under the counter on the carpet. Other than that room was good...comfy and spacious.

Hotel for Night at the Oscar'sPosted Jan 2, 2014
Pros: It was very clean and the staff that helped me was professional.
Location: Gurnee Mills Mall was nearby. If you wanted to, you could have walked, but I was not going to in the snow and the cold.
It was convenient for me to stay for New Year's Eve for my event rather than drive back to Chicago in the horrific weather.

washing machine issuePosted Dec 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
the hotels washer must be on the fritz because every half hour it would come on and it sounded like a plane was landing it was so loud. they must load everything on one side of the washer. so needless to say we were woken up almost every hour in the night. I would NEVER stay here again unless it was fixed. horrible

Central location for Great Lakes and ShoppingPosted Dec 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
12/2/13 we stayed 6 nights and would stay again. We chose this hotel after many hours of reading reviews and low price. 12 minute ride to the Great Lakes Navy Facility , this hotel is directly across from Six flags Great America, there is minimal traffic and nice suburban neighborhoods on the way. Hotel was clean, great continental breakfast, restaurants in the same parking lot. To the West isThe Gurnee Mills shopping mall (Huge clean mall with tons of surrounding restaurants) is just across the freeway along with a Best Buy, Wal mart, Bass pro Shops ,dollar tree and sams club.To th North I wish someone had told me about the Premium outlets that were less than 10 minutes up Hwy 94 (we stumbled across them on our adventures to Milwauakee on our final day there).2 miles To the West just past the Skokie highway there is plenty of local shopping but the neighborhood gets a little rougher to the west although I wasnt uneasy there. Directly behind the hotel is Timothy O'tooles pub which was an awesome hangout with great food. The Volo Auto museum was about 35 minutes through beautiful country scenery and a mst see if you like classic cars or antiques/collectibles, free admission for military! If you havent heard of this place look it up, they also have 4 huge antique shops which are comprised of hundreds of independent booths.

Great stay slept well.Posted Dec 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
It was close to a lot of things to do. Close to Navy Base. The staff were friendly. Will definitely be staying again when my son graduates from basic training.
