Clean and FriendlyPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and like new condition.
Cons: Breakfast area a little small. Does not handle a lot of people.
Location: Close to downtown. St Charles is a wonderful town with lots to see. The architecture is amazing. Sitting by the dam downtown is relaxing.
Check in was fast and easy. Hostess at the front desk very helpful. Hotel has been renovated and just now finishing paint on outside. Rooms were clean and most all the furniture and beds new. Hotel is close to downtown. Was everything we needed and more. Would recommend this hotel to others.

Kane County Ball GamePosted Aug 6, 2014
This is really close to Kane County Cougars ball park. We do a different away game with our local team (River Bandits). You never know what an area and hotel are like until you arrive. We were in the "Executive Tower" on the top floor - that's floor two! A new clean building, nicely fitted. Breakfast room is small area in reception area - cramped but ok for a free bagel or waffle.

Clean, simple, no-frills.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The price was right and it was quiet.
Cons: It could use some updating, the bathroom was very dated. While overall it was worn, it was well kept.
Location: Location is good, easy to find, and right down the street from beautiful downtown St Charles and the Riverfront.
Price was right, not fancy, slightly dated and old, but not a bad place to lay your head down for the night.

Great hotel. Great price.Posted Jul 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
Very comfortable beds and room. Quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was ok, but there's lots of eateries around. Front desk clerk was not welcoming, but not rude either. Would stay here again.

Initially we were given an end room right off the main road so I asked to switch and the desk clerk accommodated us (otherwise it can be very noisy). The room was clean and the updated bathroom was nice. The bathroom fan made a loud noise when the light switch was turned off and the refrigerator also made fairly loud noises. Otherwise, it was a nice, clean room.

Requests not understood.Posted Jul 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
When I made the reservation for this hotel, I requested extra pillows and extra towels. When you have four people staying in a room, 4 towels the size of a pillowcase is generally not sufficient to dry oneself after a shower. On both nights (we stayed a Friday and a Sunday) no extra towels were in the rooms.During the Sunday night stay, one of the girls, accidentally left the shower curtain outside of the tub, therefore creating a lake effect. She used a few of the 4 towels that were in the bathroom to clean up the water. When her mother went in to take a shower, there weren't any towels left. We called down to the desk for towels and were questioned as to why we needed them. 1) What does it matter? and 2) Had the room been properly prepared, as requested, we would not have needed to call! Housekeeping arrived and proceeded to tell my daughter "You have 4 people, you got 4 towels." Then they left! They had not brought any towels!! I went out to the hall to find the housekeeper but she had disappeared. Luckily, I found that we were right by the pool, and grabbed a stack from there. This hotel needs some SERIOUS upgrades to its grounds, building and staff.
