One night stay

We found the hotel to be comfortable and clean, even though it is undergoing renovations. We had everything we needed and it was a pleasant experience.

Good location, lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel is undergoing a facelift. The room was nicely renovated, but the bathroom common ventilation system was outrageously noisy. Great place to stay for events at Northwestern University.

Not an exceptional hotel, but everything about it is fine (and I rather liked the breakfast).

The hotel was close to dining and nightlife. The staff was friendly and helpful giving directions as we were from out of town and not familiar with the area.

Best Western in Evanston

Posted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: Breakfast was good; manager let me take food to my room to ensure I had something for breakfast at 4 a.m..
Cons: No sleeping during the day due to ongoing remodel project. Need to fix all outside doors so they do not get stuck open. Parking gets flooded.
Location: The location is convenient to downtown Evanston, Metra to Chicago, Northwestern.
My stay was OK. Nothing spectacular happened. Nothing awful happened. There is a parking fee for this hotel.

Common facilities tired.

Common facilities tired and run down. Doors on the rooms did not seem secure at all. The interiors of the rooms themselves were not bad and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. Location is great.

You get what you pay for

Posted Jan 1, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: See the comments about my experience
Location: Restaurants are close
1. Parking garage needs better lighting 2. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired (out of juice, biscuits were hard, menu was very limited) 3. No cocktail/dinner lounge 4. Could not control temperature in room 5. Had to call downstairs for linens for sofa bed (they forget to supply the room with them). 6. Windows were filthy - extremely streaked. 7. Toilets need to be updated to water saver 8. Need more electrical outlets - my son hard a hard time finding an outlet to plug in his phone recharger, not all of the outlets on the lamps worked. Check in time wasn't until 4 P.M., but they wanted you out by noon. Had to pay extra to park in the garage (this is the 1st time that I've ever paid for this). I'll never go back.

Hotel under construction only one mirror in room. No frig to keep drinks in. Small pillows not enough for two people to sleep in bed. Will not go back to this hotel
