So easy to get around and see the sites

Posted Nov 4, 2014
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable, staff was excellent
Location: In the heart of the city, great shopping and art galleries
We came to Chicago for a wedding. Hotel staff were excellent on showing us how to get around.

A hotel past its prime.

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: Excellent service by hotel staff with directions to restaurants and sites. Very good beds.
Cons: Hotel needs modernizing.. Room furniture is old.
Location: Magnificent Mile--can't be more central than that.
My daughter and I were given a room next to the elevator that may have once been a storeroom. Very noisy until late at night. The amenities I'm accustomed to at Marriott hotels were lacking: a refrigerator, for instance, and an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Good location but tiny rooms

Posted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Location convenient
Cons: At least provide some options for plugging in a phone or laptop.
The bathroom was so small that you had to straddle the water closet to close the door. Limited lights in the room and spartan furnishings. I had to call for TV service twice and I've never had to call for service ever before. They never did fix the TV. Adequate, but barely. WiFi very slow and to upgrade to a faster service, it required a call to their help desk who had to discontinue all service and restart.

Very sad state of affairs...

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Cons: make sure a/c works properly, even during Spring and Fall months. Add ventilation fan to bathroom. make sure door to bathroom closes properly.
Staff is excellent, but room was horrible. A/c did not work properly, and they know it, because there was a note slapped next to the thermostat stating that the room may be uncomfortable during Spring and Fall months - what the heck?? No ventilation fan in bathroom. Bathroom door did not close properly. Very difficult to get to valet drop off area. Fitness area is very nice however. TV screens in bar area - nice set up, but two of the screens' color is going out, making things pink and green that should be gold or blue. rather annoying. Two martinis were $38.

Magnificent hotel

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Cons: Street noise
Location: Shopping eating sight seeing all within a short walk.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. The location is the best in the city. Close to everything. You may have to put up with traffic noise during the night, but they do give complimentary earplugs.

Good location but that's it

Old rooms, moldy tiles I bathroom. Torn carpet. Worst-most expensive hotel ever.

Long weekend in Chicago

Posted Oct 14, 2014
The hotel is conveniently located near all the sightseeing tours. It is heavily used by business conferences and appears to be in use most of the time. Everything is available for a fee with very little offered in the price. The bar area which is in the center of the checkin area is loud. The restaurants were not convenienlly available at expected hours. Even breakfast ended up being a wait in a Starbucks line. We were on the 31st floor but could still hear sirens going off all through the night from the street below.

Great hotel in the heart of the city

Fantastic location, great staff and clean hotel. I was extremely happy I booked this hotel. The only thing missing was a spa.
