“Oakbrook Marriott is aging poorly”

Checked in to what I thought was a non-smoking room, yet we could clearly smell smoke that had been mixed with air freshener. Elevators are incredibly slow and the hotel had a reunion ongoing so it was difficult to find one that wasn't packed. Especially bad during checkout. Tried to use the stairs only to find that it was an unmarked fire exit with no egress to the lobby. Calling the staff on the phone to find a staircase that would lead to the lobby took a bit as none of them knew. Only two people at check-in/out which made for long waits. Finally just left my key card with the room number and left. There are plenty of good hotels around Oakbrook, IL. This is not one of them.

Area recommendations

Oakbrook is fine, but try the DoubleTree, Hyatt Place, Embassy Suites, or Westin. All are better and comparably priced.

“Wonderful Stay!!”

Very comfortable hotel, quiet (except for highway noise on that side of the hotel), luxurious amenities.

Area recommendations

Grew up in the area so this was like coming home. Beautiful surrounding areas, great restaurants and shopping all within walking distance.

I really enjoyed Marriott Oakbrook! It's right across the street from a luxury shopping mall and convenient to the city. Great bar and lobby vibe, decor is remarkable too!

“Comfort and Beauty”

The hotel had a lot to offer. It was clean and beautiful. The only concern I encountered on my stay was the television. It was cable and the reception wasn't that good. Sometimes the sound was offer. But other then that, the hotel was very accommodating.

“Very nice for the price!”

Hotel is a bit dated but rooms are very comfortable and clean, with noticeable recent renovations. Excellent service and amenities for the price, great breakfast buffet.
