The carpets in my room are in need of some major deep cleaning. They weren’t even vacuumed fully before my arrival as I found change and small trash items from a previous guest on the floor. Additionally, the elevator is sketch. I got stuck on there briefly as the doors would not open all the way and a staff member had to help push them open.

I stayed here previously in November 2023 and enjoyed my stay immensely. Unfortunately this visit was not the same. The hot water was intermittent during my entire stay. Upon my check-in at approximately 8 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024, there was no hot water. This was not mentioned by either of the two employees stationed at the lobby. I tested the water at 4 am at it was still cold. The following morning I had plans with my son and was wondering how long the water was going to stay cold without any statement from the hotel. The hot water returned after 9 am. When I returned that evening after 10 pm, to my surprise no hot water for my shower again. This happened through the end of my stay on Monday, April 15. Another minor issue was that the Smart TV in my room 645 could not cast shows from cell phone. I had no problem on my previous visit doing so. I followed the displayed instructions on the TV screen, saw the message your device is paired on my device, entered with the remote the casting message on the bottom of the screen, chose the program I wanted to watch on Netflix, but all I saw was a blank screen. I repeated this process many times in case I may have done something wrong. I received the blank screen all times to my chagrin. I would stay here again, but my next visit will be the tie breaker.

The staff was always very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the view from my room and there was a lot to explore in the area. The Blue Line/Red Line were extremely close and coming in from O'Hare was easy. I was surprised there wasn't an iron in the room, it access to ice on each floor. But those are minor issues.

Great experience being here for a few nights on a long weekend. Only issue I found during my stay is the parking used for the hotel. Expedia directs you to download the app and install on your mobile device and to pay for the parking. From what was told by the hotel front desk is to NOT download the app and instead, use the link provided for the parking by the hotel as it will save your money on the discounted rate rather than pay a huge amount. The security at the parking garage never knew about the mobile app and will not support you on that. I hope this helps anyone who decides to stay here in the hotel. After having the assistance provided, the stay is very good and clean. Also safe within downtown for those who like to explore the city.

I know it's Chicago but the room was TINY. Check-in/out process was done through a kiosk, which removes the personal element (some people like that, I do not). Average stay and nothing WOW about the place.

Smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen with practically zero counter space. Tv wasn’t working right, kept freezing and on some channels there was a delay between image and sound. No soundproof, noise from outside and hallway will keep you awake For the price…. I was expecting a better experience

Good deal. Small room. Pretty small lobby. Comfortable bed and pillows. Staff was great. Location was amazing. Easy walk to any of the downtown theaters. Lots of restaurants close by. Would stay again!

The CQ has an excellent location in the Loop, a close walking distance to the Art Institute and other attractions. The staff are friendly and professional. The building is itself a little rundown, and the rooms are mildly dingy (plus some trash from previous occupant(s) was left under the bed). But for the price and location, it's a good deal.

Older hotel, in some ways quite spartan. However, my room was very clean, and especially the bathroom was spotless. They gave me a room looking out over some equipment/large pipes, but it was quiet. The staff were polite and efficient, not particularly friendly - no complaints though! Would stay here again as the cleanliness was exceptional in my experience.

Room was perfect for my needs, and much larger than expected. I had a kitchenette although there was no dishware, flatware, or cookware (They were not mentioned in the room amenities) I could envision a long term stay here. Bed was comfortable, with luxury bedding. The hotel location is great - in middle of the downtown Loop area, so easy to get to other places and close to public transportation and shopping. I liked the workspace available on the hotel lower level, for a change of place when working remotely. Hotel staff - very professional, and attentive to requests. All in all, I'd stay here again in the future.

The onsite restaurant was fabulous. Self check-in was easy and the staff was very friendly any time we passed by. The rooms were small, but had everything you’d need for a short stay. The hotel layout and design was very unique. Would definitely stay again.
