Being close isn't always better

Posted Mar 27, 2015
Pros: If all worked out closer to family
Cons: Customer service.
I had to ask how to get to my room. She did tell me about the free happy hour 5-7 that night. Got into the room and there was a smell in the room and remote for TV was missing. Went back to front desk and person on duty pulled one from the drawer but, didn't have a back so she taped it. At night (remember free drinks) around 9:30 started the running up and down the hall (2nd floor) doors opening and closing. At around 11 ish management put a letter under my door. This stated quite hour starts at 10pm. Noise still went on until around 130-2am when guest started "F" this and that in the hall way and "I'm going to kill you". I had a long flight and just wanted some rest I was meeting up with family @ 8am the next day. (Which I didn't make it! And I lost a day with them) I checked out the next day and went to another hotel in Oak Brook I've stayed many times before. I just wanted to be closer to my family this trip in. The breakfast in the morning wasn't on the plus side for them; the milk was turning and wasn't very clean.

Nice hotel and close to work meetings.

Very nice hotel, nice area and easy to get to. And the staff was great, very friendly. We checked in and then were able to get some dinner right there. Very good and excellent price. The only negative thing I can say is that the hot tub was extremely hot! Lol but it felt good after being in the pool. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I forgot to mention the yummy breakfast buffet that was included.

Home away from home

Posted Mar 22, 2015
Pros: Clean, quiet rooms, friendly staff, and a nice breakfast in the morning!
Location: For a nice stroll, I can recommend the Historic "Graue Mill". ( It is only about 6 minutes away ,2 miles east on Ogden Ave.)
We have stayed at the Club House Inn several times over the past years, and every time it has been a great experience. For us, this is the only place to stay when in the Chicago area.

A nice place for relaxing

I liked the check in and check out was quick. I would have liked more info on pool and spa locations. The bed was a bit springy feeling not much cushion. But staff nice and professional.

OK place

I do not like motels where the bathrooms are split between toilet/shower and sink. There were not enough chairs in breakfast room for tables.

Close to everything

I grew up in Westmont and The Clubhouse has been a centrally located place for us to stay for visits back home. It's reasonably priced for the amenities. It's located right on Ogden and you have anything you want and need close by. Just up the road is Oak Brook Mall and Yorktown mall, and lots of great restrurants.

Last Time Staying Here

Posted Dec 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
Visit was 12/5-12/7. After staying here a lot in the past, this place has become incredibly run down. From the years old giant potholes in the parking lots to entry doors (1 didn't work at all forcing a long, cold walk to another)and room conditions. The clientele this last visit was also very suspect. We were woken at 7am by kids and adults slamming doors, running up and down hallways, slamming doors into the deadbolts as they were obviously going to breakfast and/or pool and back constantly during a 3 1/2 adventure. No hotel staff was around to rectify. Room is only ok. It's not possible to get a good control on the heat/ac units here and it's very annoying. If you can keep the fan running it at least drowns out some of the noise caused by ignorant neighbors. The HK staff did an ok job of cleaning although it was clear they never once vacuumed. It's in a very convenient area but we will pay a little more next time for much more comfortable accommodations. I really can't recommend this place anymore and it's too bad because in its day it was a very clean, comfortable and convenient hotel.
