Would not stay again.

The hotel is in desperate need of upgrades. We stayed in a "suite" which we were told was non smoking but the room smelled like smoke and no matter how long we left the window open, the smell would not dissipate. The front desk brought us an air freshener which did nothing. The carpets were so dirty the bottoms of your feet turned brown if you walked barefoot. Beds were not comfortable but at least there were no bedbugs. would not stay again.

Close to Great America!

Location: Short drive to Great America
This was a very nice hotel, very clean. The pool area was nice. The breakfast was very good. The room was a little small but totally met our needs. Just 5 minutes from Great America which was perfect. We would stay here again!

Overall, Not Bad! Would stay here again!

Found this hotel online; liked the price and the included hot breakfast. Therefore, I booked 3 rooms hotel from 4/2-4/5/15 for our son's Navy Graduation. The proximity to Base was wonderful, about a 10 minute drive. The Hotel was very well located with many places to eat and shop (ie., WalMart, Target, a mall, pharmacy's, etc., and about an hour drive into the City of Chicago). The rooms have been updated but some of the construction is shoddy at best. Didn't bother us for the most part as the rest of the rooms met our standards. We were greeted by a friendly staff person who did his best to make us feel comfortable and provided us with the WiFi password. Our Complaint(s): The 1 morning we chose to visit the breakfast area turned out to be impossible. There were way too many people for the amount of space available in the small seating area. Staff did their best to keep the breakfast foods stocked for the hungry guests, but it was not worth getting involved in the food stampede. We chose to eat elsewhere. Also, one very early morning we purchased a bottle of water out of the main floor vending machine which became stuck. The front desk person I found to help us spoke very little english. It took me quite some time to get him to understand what I needed from him. The water was never retreived from the machine nor was our money. Not a big deal about the $2.00 bottle of water, but I really would have preferred him to speak and understand English.

It was really nice overall, the airline screwup big time so it was good to deal with nice people after a bad experience at the airport
