“Lombard Chicago”

The hotel was nice and clean and so was our room. It was bigger than the usual 2 queen bed rooms. It had a little extra area with sofabed and a coffee table. Breakfast was not bad at all. We do not eat meat so it was perfect for us. There was a waffle maker, toaster, plain bagels, bread slices, English muffins, cup cakes, apple/orange juices, coffee, green tea and some other breakfast items. The indoor swimming pool and hot tub looked good (though we did not use them). My only complaint would be that the bathroom door lock did not work and when I went to the front desk and told them about it, the lady was looking totally uninterested in hearing what I was saying and then after taking some efforts told me that the service guy will only come on the next day but nobody showed up next day until we checked out. But overall my experience with the hotel was good. I will stay there again and recommend it to other people.

“Very Good-Great Rates For Chicago Area”

This hotel is a little on the outskirts of Chicago. However, it was not too far. We were able to enjoy the city and an affordable hotel stay for 6 people-something that was hard to find around downtown Chicago.. All of the rooms offer a queen size sofa bed. The room was very clean and the customer service is exceptional. This is the perfect place to stay for a large family. They also offer a very decent complimentary breakfast. The hotel is also located near many shops and restaurants which is very convenient.

“Good hotel for the price”

The staff was very accomodating. We needed an extra room on check in and they were able to get us adjoining rooms. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. My younger kids loved the indoor pool.

“Nice hotel”

This hotel was a great deal. The staff were all friendly and efficient, the suites large and clean, and I liked the fact that they had an exercise room, pool, whirlpool, and even a coin laundry facility to do my own wash (I stayed a week.) Breakfast food was adequate and they kept the food and coffee well-stocked throughout the breakfast period.

“Nice hotel at a good price”

We stayed one night @ a good price for a king bed. Pretty good room and hotel for the price. Decent but not overwhelming breakfast (no sausage). It wasn't far (a few miles) to good shopping and restaurants. Would stay there again.

“Good Hotel, but hard to get to”

Very helpful and pleasant staff. Rooms neat and clean. Very good free breakfast. The hot tub didn't work properly, spewing water everywhere. Main problem is that unless you are going west on North Avenue it is hard to get into the hotel. Going east on North Avenue requires you to go several blocks past the hotel and make a dangerous u-turn in order to go back west and enter the hotel parking lot. Most people will approach the hotel going east, since the toll road exit is just west of the hotel. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay- just be aware of the problem getting into the hotel.

Getting around

Hotel is 5 minutes from the Metra station in Lombard, which makes it easy to get to downtown Chicago. However, parking at the Metra station is hard to find. Recommend a dry run to the station in order to scout out parking prior to going.

“Clean, convenient location”

The hotel was near I355 and I290; major Chicago-land freeways. The hotel was clean, breakfast was complimentary and satisfying, USA Today papers were available each day, and the pool was well maintained.

Area recommendations

If you are looking for a stay near Elmhurst, O'Hare Airport, Brookfield Zoo or Oak Brook shopping- this is a great hotel to select.

Getting around

THe hotel is on North Ave. You will be 2 blocks from the I355 toll road and 10 minutes from I290. You could be downtown in 19 minutes, and at O'Hare in 10.

“"Just fine in the suburbs"”

This hotel was just fine for a quick overnight stay. I really appreciate the free internet access!! That makes a huge difference to me and my teenage kids. The room was clean and comfortable, but nothing really outstanding. I appreciated the breakfast with a variety of choices. The access to the hotel from the street was tricky. Our GPS sent us around the block in a strange way to get going the right direction to turn into the entrance. Overall it was a decent place to stay and I would stay there again if was in that area.
