This hotel has everything, well almost everything!Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: The size of the rooms, the friendliness of the kitchen staff for morning breakfast, and also the hotel receptionists who checked us in .
Cons: A larger sign at the entrance to the property. it is very hard to find it on such a busy street.
Location: We really liked the location as it was very close to a Catholic Church(about five-six minutes away) and we like to go to daily Mass and Gurnee Mills!
My husband and I are the proud grandparents of two special high school graduates in Grayslake Illinois. Choosing Comfort Suites for our five night stay was the best decision we could have made. It is located very close to their home, has a great breakfast and pool to invite our family to enjoy during our visit. BUT what management needs to consider, is a larger sign on the East Belvidere Road entrance.. The first night we wondered around the parking lots of the near-by medical facilities trying to figure out how to get in to the hotel parking lot. The second night was a little better, but it is so easy to miss the turn to Comfort Suites on such a busy street. Other than saying , how do we get from here to there??? the stay was wonderful.

Only one thing I didn't like, otherwise wonderful!Posted Feb 28, 2015 on Hotels
We had a very pleasant stay. There was only one thing that bothered me, and that was the curtains in the room. We were on the first floor, and the only privacy we had for curtains were sheer white curtains. The heavier curtains that hung outside of the sheers were only for decoration, they could not be moved to cover the sheers. I'm a big fan of privacy, especially at a hotel, and anyone parking or walking down the sidewalk could see right into our room, especially if the lights were on. Otherwise, a great hotel! :)

nice quiet hotelPosted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Great pillows, (both soft and firm) great mattresses. Overall very pleasant, including breakfast selections.
Cons: Add Coke Zero to the vending machines.
Location: Convenient to theme parks, malls, and Wisconsin border.
Room was clean, smelled great. everything worked correctly but the hair dryer. Maintenance left a nice note after resetting it. Staff was helpful and courteous Pool and spa clean. overall very nice. the only disappointment was the "suite" was a single room with a half wall.

Silverlake Comfort Suites is golden.Posted Feb 18, 2015 on Hotels
The hotel is tucked in off the road. Check in was easy. The staff was nice about getting me a tray as I carried breakfast back to my room (I'm not sure you are supposed to do that). Overall, we had a nice stay. The pool and hot tub area looked nice but we didn't get to enjoy either because of time (and we both forgot our swimsuits).

Close to family!Posted Feb 3, 2015
Clean, quiet. The only problem is that the pool was out of order (it was out of order last time we stayed here too, might be an ongoing issue there)

Fair for the pricePosted Feb 3, 2015 on Hotels
Spent the weekend with my two girls for a tournament. Hotel staff is great, very friendly and always smiling. Room was ok, suite...not at all but still a nice size room and worked for us. The one issue I had is the person before me smoked in the room that same morning for sure. Room was cleaned and obviously not aired out...it is a non smoking hotel so not sure why this was ok. I turned on the fan, opened the window and took the kids to the pool for a couple hours. Room was fine when we got back, just a hint of smoke. Yes i could have complained but it wasn't worth it to me in the big picture of life. Breakfast is typical of any hotel breakfast.

I stay at this hotel every time I visit the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are always clean. They have had some issues lately with their pool and spa so if that is important to you make sure you ask if they are open before booking.

Very comfortablePosted Jan 14, 2015
Pros: The employees are very friendly and address my father by name
Cons: Hot tub is under construction.
Location: Near Six Flags Great America and Baxter Corporate Headquarters
My father stays here when he visits (87 years old), as it is very close to our house and we don't have a lot of space. The staff knows him by name and all the people bend over backwards to help him if he needs something. It's a great place and I would recommend it to anyone needing a place in the area.
