Great downtown locationPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Much quiter than other downtown hotels and very convenient to the Red line at Grand/State. Super clean and comfortable.
Cons: The roll-in shower was kind of awkward but that was about the only thing.
Location: Everything in downtown is close by.
Stayed 7/11/14-7/14/14. Showed up about 6 hours before check-in and it wasn't a problem. Was offered early check-in for $25 and took full advantage after catching such an early flight. Didn't take a car because to do so in Chicago is too expensive and too much of a hassle. The Blue line is a few blocks away and the Red line at Grand is about 2 blocks. Front desk guy was really friendly. Super convenient location a block or 2 off Michigan Ave. and much quiter and comfortable than many other hotels. Mini fridge in the room was nice, but having a coffee maker would have been nice though. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

A weekend in ChicagoPosted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: The location, the staff and the comfort.
Location: It is in a great location that provides for an excellent Chicago experience.
Our family takes occasional weekend trips to Chicago and we have stayed at many different hotels in and around the loop. The Conrad Hotel is one of the best places we have stayed at and we will certainly stay there again.

Great Stay - Fourth of JulyPosted Jul 7, 2014
Location: We had great meals at both Beatrix and Tanta (both just a couple of blocks away). Would highly recommend both of these restaurants.
My wife and I stayed here over the recent Fourth of July weekend and had a fabulous time. The hotel is very convenient to shopping, navy pier, Millineum Park, Buckingham Fountain, etc, along with many close-by restaurants. We enjoyed the Terrace at night, with nice snacks and drinks. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Chicago!

My wife and I were in Chicago for a week's vacatioPosted Jul 7, 2014
Cons: The air condition was a bit cool but that is a personal thing.
Location: Central and in walkable distances to the Water Tower and Navy Pier, restaurants and of course shops for the wife.
I picked the Conrad as it was very central and close to all amenities eg shops, tourist attractions and restaurants. The Conrad is very comfortable and nothing was a problem to the staff. We would certainly go back to the Conrad if we are back in Chicago - we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Excellent hotel and locationPosted Jul 4, 2014
20 min walk N to cover Mag Miles and 15 min walk S to the pier. Hotel is connected to Nordstrom and few other shops. It is also connected to Michigan Ave. A perfect location especially if travel with kids as walking is reasonable distance to Mil Park as well. Parking is expensive in all hotels but Conrad gives you the option of self park which is $45 a night with in and out privilege. Complimentary coffee, bottle water and apples.

RESERVATION? Too bad, so sad!Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The room was quite comfortable, a large bathroom, comfortable bed, very good bed linens, a Keurig coffee maker in the room and the staff were polite.
Cons: Well, obviously their practice of overbooking the rooms that are available. The bed pillows are average, the towels average, only one bedside table.
Location: It is attached to a mall with a Nordstroms and other stores, there are good restaurants within walking distance, Magnificent Mile is right there.
I have to give this hotel a failing grade because, although we had booked it for 5 nights several months in advance through Expedia, when we arrived at 9:00 p.m. they told us they were overbooked and were moving us to the Marriott next door. We were extremely unhappy and they just kept saying, "sorry, nothing we can do". The room we had at the Marriott was nothing like we had booked at the Conrad, it had two double beds, a grungy, tiny bathroom and was quite basic. Although we moved back to the Conrad the next day and they upgraded us to a Junior suite (at our insistence), it did not erase the unhappiness with being turfed out the first night. I spoke to a manager named Nick and he admitted that they do, in fact, overbook the hotel which I think is a disreputable, unethical practice. Bad form Conrad Hilton.

Pros: The location
Location: The location was very central. Many museums and restaurants very close, and of course North Michigan Ave. for shopping
