“Convenient and friendly place”

We came to attend graduation ceremonies at Great Lakes Naval Base and were delighted to discover that all the previous reviews we read were correct. This is a great location - easy access to interstate, etc... and a wonderful place to bring our sailor back for some relaxation since the rooms are suites. Free wi-fi was nice for him to catch up on his life. Good restaurants, ice cream, pubs abound nearby and an enormous mall very nearby - not to mention 6-flags. Room was clean, though maids are slow. The complimentary shampoos and lotions were actually good quality. Didn't use the pool/hot tub at all but they looked very acceptable. Nice b'fast in the morning which is very helpful. For the price, this met our needs perfectly. I would definitely recommend. Seek out the ice-cream/dairy store next to the Irish pub . . . out of this world ice cream & fantastic ambiance. A nice treat for a soldier/sailor.

“Mission Accomplished”

Walking distance to Great America (almost). Thought I would rather pay for parking at Great America but after paying and then having to park in the very back of the parking lot I think I walking from the hotel was about the same distance. The hotel was nice. Pool was not very big, but adequate. Free cookies in the lobby. Hot breakfast included. On the day we were there they had make your own waffles that were really good. All in all this hotel served the purpose we needed which was two days at Great America with the best nights rest we could get in between.

“Frightfest goer!”

My family and I go to 6 FLAGS Frightfest every year and we will be back next year again to stay at this hotel. The staff were very courteous and the place was clean and warm and the food was really great considering it was complementary. You did not have to walk a mile for food or parking either. :)

Nice hotel, close to restaurants, shopping, 6 flags across the street. Nice breakfast, staff very helpful. Would definately come back.

“Very Convenient”

I was pleased with Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Gurnee. It is close to the highway; shopping mall; and the surrounding neighborhood is pleasant. The only critic I will give is that the hotel should include Sausage in their breakfast menu.

Very disappointed that the swimming pool and hot tub were drained and not working!!

Exactly what I was looking for - a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay with friendly helpful service at a convenient location. Also, very quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is located in a nice area, within walking distance to little shops, restaurants, and even Six Flags.
