SMOKING PROBLEM Posted Oct 24, 2013
No smoking in hotel - what a joke. We stayed for three nights - bad taste in our mouth literally. One of their own corporate employees above us (311) lit up a cigarette on our first night and two nights later the same thing. I complained on our first night since the smoke came down into our room through the bathroom vent - we thought for sure our smoke alarm would sound off. Their desk clerk that night tried to be helpful, however, she really didn't want to knock on door of R.311 since it was one of their own. The second night - same thing -either from R. 211 or 311. I complained the next morning to desk manager - nothing was done. We love staying at COUNTRY INN and SUITES, but this one gave us a bad taste. On our way out of the hotel yesterday, the desk clerk seemed not to care at all - not very helpful and concerned. My wife and I would like to receive at least one night free for this type of "don't really care" attitude. I would have fined those smokers the amount of money that was due to them. Customer service is so important from hotel staff members and a little more effort to help out their guests is a must.

Dear Erv, Thank you for taking the time to write a reveiw. Although I was pleased to read your positive comements about our breakfast and our breakfast attendant I was concerned about the issue you encountered with a guest who smoked in a non smoking room. We did indeed take your comments seriously and tried to locate the guest who was smoking - but were unable to. Please be assured - the comfort for all our guests is of utmost importance to us and that smoking in a non smoking room is no tolerated.
