hotel renovation

Posted Sep 14, 2014
I could get over the hotel being under renovation, its normally a good thing, however they had way too much going on which made evertying in the facility useless. it also smelled of paint, glue, and cholrine. the biggest problem for me was the room. the sofa sleeper had no cushions and there was a roll out cot next to which made watching TV at the desk nearly impossible on the 20 tube TV. the temperature control was in desk area and the AC unit was in the bedroom which made controlling temperature a chore. the bathroom had hair on the floor and there were hairs on the first towel I grabbed. NOT a clean place.

Had probs with this hotel and its room.

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: the friendlyness of the staff
Cons: communications between management and staff.
Location: very good location
Frist night bed was not mad, had to talk to staff about it they assured us that it with be take care of. we ask for extra towels and that did not happen. they told me i can simm in the pool but there was construction going on in that part of the hotel. Needles to say this was not a good hotel. I will never stay there again. I know that the staff is working hard to make it a good hotel.

A convenient place to stay.

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Location: The location was convenient to Chicago area interstates. We went for a wedding and reception. The next day we drove over to the Indiana Dunes Nation
All the staff we dealt with were professional and friendly. The room was clean, but a little "tired" looking. There were several small maintenance issues that should have been addressed before we arrived; and they didn't ask if everything was alright or I would have listed them! The indoor pool and hot tub were nice--except the pool was really too small to swim in and everyone said it was too cold to enjoy. The hot tub was not hot enough either. They have a bad humidity problem in the pool area that is not being controlled with the small de-humidifier they were using. The small workout area and laundry area looked nice. The breakfast was nice; however, the first morning the scrambled eggs were tasteless. A little salt (and I use very little salt) would have helped. Also, they ran out of hot breakfast food well before "closing time" and finally substituted other things. The second morning we went earlier and things were better. On vacation a lot of people like to sleep in some and still expect a good breakfast up until almost closing time.

Close to Tinley Park

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: They are currently remodeling. The bathroom needed a new shower curtain holder, but I'm sure that is on the to do list.
Location: It's quite close to Tinley Park - Arena and not far from the Pier in Downtown Chicago.
Check in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly! Room was clean and fresh. Bathroom was spotless. And our bed was super comfy! Breakfast was truly delicious! Great variety!

Pros: Leaving it.
Cons: Guest service
We had not tv service the entire time we stayed. Even though we informed the front desk no effort was made to remedy the situation. So there we sat.

Quick stay

The staff were nice and accommodating. There were large crumbs of food in room and the bathroom was not very clean at all. But overall I would consider staying here again.

Shabby interior, hair on bathroom floor, hot tub looks like a science experiment.
