“Great time”
The wife and I took a weekend vacation and picked this hotel because of its location. The service was outstanding, the empoyees were very polite and helpful. Would definately stay here again. DS
“Nice and Comfortable”
Hotel was comfortable and had a small balcony which was a nice surprise and something you usually don't get in a Chicago hotel. Only complaint was that there were no drawers to store clothing which I thought was odd. Hotel staff was warm and helpful ... there are probably better restaurant options for breakfast ... coffee was warm at best (no refill offered) and the staff seemed very confused on what to do - our order was taken 3 times
“Love it!”
Love the ambience at the hotel! We have stayed at the Dana twice and really like the loft feel of the rooms and upscale feel of the lobby. Hotel services were excellent and friendly staff always.
“Ok, but not family friendly.”
The hotel is very clean and modern. However, while they did have a crib for our two year old the room was set up without thought or knowledge of use by a family with children. Floor to ceiling draw string chains for the window blinds, five bottles of wine laying within easy reach and a bathroom slider that will not stay closed, and in the restaurant no suitable food or high chair. The staff did set up clips for the draw strings on the window blinds after we asked, but wanted $50 to remove the wine bottles. That said, there seemed to be more staff than guests, and the place was very quiet. The kid-proof problems can be easily corrected.
“Not Impressed”
On line hotel rating showed 4.5 out of 5. I would have guessed a 3 after spending two days there. Staff was friendly and courteous. Room service for breakfast sub par (cinnamon roll was decidely stale had the consitency or Rusk Toast with cinnamon and a sugary frosting nuked to warm it). Rooms are very small corner rooms adds a sense of space that is an illusion. Hotel should be valued price. The only reason I felt OK with the experience was because of the discount from the d"published rates". I am guessing not many rooms are commanding the rates expedia showed! Next time I use expedia it will be restricted to Hotels I know and have recently used.
“The BEST hotel shower I've ever had!”
The hotel is very urban and swanky in a great location. We had a corner king which was really cool with 2 walls of windows. Very cool...literally. It was a little difficult to regulate the room temperature in November. But the view was worth it. There were blackout blinds that helped with the temperature and sleeping in. The concierge left a little to be desired recommending a restaurant that wasn't an environment or quality of food we asked for as a quiet romantic dinner. Otherwise our stay was great. I would definitely recommend it.
“Dana Delivers”
Great Hotel, great location...comfortable room. My only complaint: valet parking was slow to retrieve my vehicle 2 out of 3 times. I would go back.
“Livin Like We're Golden!”
Great room, withe a nice view of State Street and the Chicago skyline! The service all around was exceptional starting with being greeted by T.J. at the front door who was helpful throughout our stay even remembering our names. The rooms are comfortable, functional, and tastefully appointed. The restaurant food is very good and appropriately priced. Would definitely return for a visit. Great location for paying your dues on the Million Dollar Mile!
“Very good hotel”
The hotel is very well located. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were very good, except from one of them at the reception. I am a VIP expedia guest, however the hotel did not offer anything special for me. I asked for a late check out, but this guy at the reception said that he only could give me two hours, and it seemed to me that he was doing something very special to me!
“Beautiful”
Really lovely hotel, great location. Huge showers...sitting room, bedroom, massive bathroom with two of everything. Would totally go back.
