Clean and close to everything!

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, security.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Endless...
I am from the central Illinois area. Went to Chicago to see a concert at the Vic theater. Was able to find a parking lot near the hotel on SpotHero for $16 on a Saturday. The hotel was surrounded by a variety of restaurants and shops. Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was small but very clean. Bed was a very soft pillow top. I felt safe and secure, a key is needed to enter the stairwell and the elevator. I would recommend to a friend.

Nice hotel. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Posted Dec 10, 2014
Pros: The location and Staff.
Cons: The sink would not hold water and put heat in the bathroom.
Location: The hotel was off downtown and close to shopping and restaurants.
Normally, Days Inn is considered in the mid to low ratings for hotels. But, this was a very nice hotel. It offers services that you find at upscale hotels; i.e.,valet parking and door service. The Hotel Staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus, it is conveniently located. The room was spacious and clean. The only downside, you have to pay for parking. Will definitely stay there again.

Dear Verlon, Thank you for your great comments. We pride ourselves on our location of our boutique hotel. We are definitely not a typical Days Inn. We are glad to hear that you loved the location of our property and our staff. Paying for parking in the city of Chicago is quite normal unless you are outside the city. Comparing our valet pricing to Downtown locations we are extremely affordable. I am glad to hear that our parking rates will not hold you back from staying with us again. We welcome you back anytime.

Days Inn Chicago

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Location. Staff. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: Great restaurant - the Half Shell just down the street. As well as the Yolk. Close to bus line.
Very pleasant stay. Nice neighborhood. Good restaurants close by. We weren't happy with our first room and the staff changed it immediately. The only negative is: if you are by the street it's a little noisy at night.

Affordable hotel - excellent room & service

Posted Dec 3, 2014
I moved to live in Chicago and stayed in this hotel. It is one of the more affordable options and is very good for the price - $125 for 1 person queen size bed. I stayed here several nights and found the rooms (I changed rooms because I booked additional nights), clean and comfortable with all the additional extras which are useful. TV, desk, coffee maker, etc. The reception staff were very helpful, as they were full for the night after my initial 2 night booking, and I needed longer, and they got back to me later in the day when there was a cancellation. They also gave me good advice on life in Chicago. Very pleased with my experience here.

Convenient hotel for Lincoln Park-Lake View Areas

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Location is convenient for nice neighborhoods.
Cons: Add some color in the rooms and improve sound insulation between them.
Location: Two eateries among the many nearby deserve mention: Troy Grill on Broadway offers authentic Turkish cuisine and Sakura on Diversey Japanese/thai.
The hotel is maintained well and located conveniently for walking to nearby shopping and good food. The rooms are plain, drab, and in need of some sprucing. The walls are paper thin and one can hear TV's and normal-level conservations in adjacent rooms. The complimentary buffet breakfast is good, but poorly presented and organized.

Great Location in the lively Lakeview area.

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: This is not typical Days Inn motel, it's comparable to higher priced hotels downtown.
Cons: Update bathroom , floor is higher than the rest of room. Front desk said some of bathrooms have been updated already though.
Location: Uptown, lots of well known nice stores and very good restaurants/cafes across the street and couple within of couple blocks.
Lots of awesome stores and small cafes across the street or all short walk. Area is clean and safe with lots of young adult walkers (nicely dressed); this area is urban chic. Room is clean and bed very comfy; but bathroom has a step up, so you have to be careful you watch your step. Hotel entrance is like a small, just a door that has name of Days Inn, Valet attendant will be the first one you'll meet., $26. There's public parking is in another building next to hotel, but it cost about the same to use valet. Very friendly and helpfull staff.

Dear Traveler, Thank you for your great comments. We pride ourselves on our location of our boutique hotel. We are definitely not a typical Days Inn. We are glad to hear that you loved the location of our property and our staff. We are sorry to hear that your room had an older bathroom. We consistently have been updating all the rooms and lobby in some way. Just as a FYI, our business class rooms are our updated rooms which are larger and have more amenities. The business class rooms do not have any steps in the bathroom. Also if this ever happens again I recommend you contact the Front Desk and they can find a more updated room if we have it available. We do hope that you stay with us again on your next visit to Chicago.

More Motel than Hotel but ok

Posted Nov 24, 2014
The Hotel is located in the north of the city from Chicago, but you can reach everything with the Metro two or three blocks away. The breakfast was awesome, the most choice of eat we have had here in America so far. Our room was little, but it was clean. We would go to the Hotel again!

Pros: I like comfortable, affordable rooms, free breakfast, valet parking.
Cons: Fitness room was cold and treadmill didn't work.
Location: Lincoln park, it is a very central location with good public transportation access.
This is the second time I have stayed there and I would do so on future visits.
