Poor service... Would not stay there againPosted Nov 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
We booked this hotel to take advantage of the free parking and airport shuttle that were listed on the site. I even called the hotel before booking, to confirm that the shuttle would accommodate out 6am flight. When we arrived, they told me we should have had a park & fly package in order to leave the car there for the extra 4 nights. I told them I had already confirmed the free parking and round trip shuttle service, so they offered me a form to complete, which mentioned no additional fees. They also said their shuttle only ran on the hour, but the airport didn't open until 5 am, so we would need to wait outside for 1/2 hour until the airport opened. In addition to very noisy hallways, I worried about this all night long, until receiving my bill under the door at 3am, which showed an additional parking fee. We canceled the shuttle drove ourselves to the airport (which was open before 5am) and caught our flight on time. Never will stay here again.

Ok-but not real quiet-quite a ways from airportPosted Nov 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
The doors to the rooms have a gap that let's noise in from the hallway. Depending on who is walking down the hall and how loud they are talking, and depending on what hour of the day or night that happens to be, that will determine whether or not you get a quiet nights stay. I also didn't realize that the shuttle runs once an hour and it's 1/2 hour to the airport. The shuttle driver was AWESOME and most helpful. Older motel that is remodeled. Bathrooms are nice but not updated.

The DoubleTree in Alsip was a great place to spend a night on a rainy day in Chicago. I would be happy to stay there again.

They tried to charge more then what we booked forPosted Oct 23, 2013
Pros: Room was nice and cleaning staff were nice.
Cons: The front desk staff need some education on customer service. If they don't like the job they should quit. They are Hilton's public relations staff.
They tried to charge more then the expedia price upon check in. I had the paperwork so they lowered to your rate but argued with us about it at the desk. Rude desk staff on check-in. Next staff person we encountered when trying to find the elevator was also rude when we asked for directions. Lots of noise in the hall out side the room late at night. We would not stay there again.
