Not as advertisedPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Close to home.
Cons: Accurate online advertisement and information from Expedia representative.
Location: Woodfield mall, movie theaters, economical restaurants 15 minutes away/less.
Staff was pleasant. Beds were not over-sized as described, did not have basketball nor racquetball club as instructed, and was not able to get roll away bed as informed nor a game room/console(s). Amenities are in another building, thus, had to walk outside to get to the pool and spa in the cold weather.

Pros: Looked nice and the staff was pleasant.
Cons: Fix the cold air feeling throughout the hotel and rooms,.
We were looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. Unfortunately, the hotel was very uncomfortable and cold. The windows in our room had ice 3 feet high on the windows. Even with the thermostat at 76 degrees the room was very cold. The interior hallways were colder. The SPA building was not attached to the hotel, so either walk outside or take the shuttle van.

me and my wife had an enjoyable stay, will be backPosted Jan 8, 2014
Pros: the staff and the comfort of the rooms and the way the cleaning people checked with us every day of our stay, did not over do it.
Cons: we would like to see the prices on the menu for in room eating.
Location: we went to the casino it was not far away and the directions given by the clerk was on point.
it was great. we had a small problem with being over charged and once I called the desk the Manager really took care of everything, even brought us dinner the first night we were there. the food was great. we went swimming and used the fitness center as well as bowling. our stay was very enjoyable and we look forward to our next visit.

Please add heater lamps at entrance of the hotel to reduce the cold air coming into the common area/lobby. It was very uncomfortable sitting there.

Greetings Kim - Thank you for taking the time to share your suggestion with us. We do have heaters in the foyer between the entry doors. Unfortunately with the extreme weather conditions and record breaking lows the heaters were unable to keep the lobby warm. We will need to come up with a better or additional system. I certainly understand the discomfort of a chilly lobby and I apologize. I hope besides the lobby, you enjoyed your stay with us and will return again soon. - Michael Welly, General Manager.

Worst experience everPosted Dec 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nothing! from the time I walked thru the doors to check in things progressively got worse. My reservation was incorrect and I was given incorrect information by Resort staff. When I finally got checked in found that the Mattress was the most uncomfortable thing ever. I asked to change rooms was told by front desk that all beds are the same. We order in room dining food came up burned and cold. We had a spa appointment as we went to the lobby to head to Spa was told we had to exit the building in Mid December in Illinois just to get to the Spa. After walking thru the snow in flip flops we found that the spa appointment was booked incorrectly as well which turned the Romantic getaway to a horrible experience.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your recent visit to Eaglewood Resort and Spa. You made some very pointed observations, while some are logistical and so do not afford us the opportunity to change immediately they will be discussed as to how to avoid similar issues. I have addressed all of your observations with the respective department heads for changes in the immediate future. I want to ensure you the service problems you encountered are completely unacceptable. I hope we will have a future opportunity to provide a better level of service you in the future.

Nice ResortPosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: You didn't have to leave the grounds. Plenty to do and four restaurants to choose from. The pool and spa were wonderful.
Cons: It was a very long walk to the rooms. We didn't care for the fact that the spa and pool were across the parking lot in a separate building.
