The location is perfect for getting around and located near a lot of places to eat and things to do. Mobile check in is very convenient and love that feature about this hotel. We had a good time here but there were a few things that could improve. The overall cleanliness of the room wasn’t great. Our room did not get cleaned the first 2 days we were there. We had to request for our room to be cleaned. Other than that we enjoyed our stay here.

They were very busy but gave each person personal attention. The elevator were the worst part, some seemed to not work well. But the breakfast was always fresh and hot with plenty to eat. The happy hour line moved at a good pace and was enjoyable. The rooms were quite and beds very comfortable.

Not nearly enough staff. I didn’t see one person clean the DIRTY elevators. Two FREE drinks if you want to wait 45 minutes in line for the ONE bartender working. Pillows are so bad that I had to buy one at Walmart. Walls are paper thin. I heard people, clearly talking and having sex. When I say clearly I mean I understood every word. I could hear their phones ring. So bad I was purposely very quiet after being able to hear them SO CLEARLY! $55 a night parking is a money grab. Security is nonexistent. Anyone, and I mean anyone can just walk right in the building and go right up to any floor or room they want. Weight room is completely unsupervised. Had three or four kids in there at one time unsupervised running on the treadmill. As a matter of fact, three of them were on one treadmill at the same time. No staff comes in and checks what’s going on. The pool is even worse. Must’ve been 30 kids in a tiny pool with not enough adults to count for that many being in there. So, in other words, they were unsupervised. You can’t use a dolly to bring up your luggage. They told me they don’t loan them out. Only a bellhop can bring up your luggage using the dolly. They used to have valet parking they no longer do. They haven’t done any room remodeling for about 15/20 yrs. Also, I was threatened through the paper, thin walls from the adjacent room after notifying staff, they were loud at midnight.

Check in was a mess. Arrived 4:15ish and was told my room is not ready. Ask me to walk around about 1 hour and will text me when ready. Front desk doesn’t take luggages and asked me to bring down to ground floor to see the door guy. Of course we went down but no one was there. So have to go to garage to put all 4 suite cases back in my car. Walked almost 2 hours without message. I decided to go back to check. I am glad I did and I got a room right away.

Property was nice and convenient. Was able to walk to pretty much everything. Room was very nice and clean. Only thing, there was soooo many ppl because of volleyball tournament so that was kinda annoying but we will definitely choose this hotel again!

Check in line took over 45 minutes. Check in time is 4 pm, however our room was not available until well past 5:30 pm. Incredibly inconvenient and frustrating to pay for a hotel room that cannot be used. Once we did finally check in, housekeeping had to come re-clean the bathroom due to feces being all over the toilet. A highly disappointing hotel, experience, and stay.

Check in line was long. Front desk people were rude and barely greeted me- I think if you are in the hospitality business you should at least try to be friendly to your guests. The rooms were spacious but bathrooms were run down. It’s a good free breakfast but it’s very crowded- we were there during spring break so that’s why. The pool is tiny as we expected but there were so many people in there you could barely swim so my kids only swam for like 15 minutes. We live in Chicago (staycation) and if you are looking for a place to stay near Michigan Ave, Navy Pier, and the riverwalk, this is a good place for families. The location is great. Average hotel, nothing spectacular but you get what you pay for.

Took over an hour to check in. Kids running up and down the hall slamming doors, banging into our room wall and swearing. Couldn't sleep at all. They clearly do not care about the comfort or satisfaction of their guests. Would never come back and recommend no one else should ever stay. Will be demanding a refund.

We stayed Wednesday through Monday and most if not all of that time there were only 2 out of 4 elevators working. During Checkout time you had to wait about 15-20 minutes to get on the elevator. Staff was friendly and responded to any request very quick. Breakfast was amazing. Hats of to the cooks.

Embassy Suites was a pleasant stay and accommodating. The location was great and walking distance to favorable restaurants and attractions. No complaints just maybe the noise outside but it is Chicago and by a hospital.

I was not impressed with this property’s cleanliness. The location is super convenient with easy access to downtown, Magnificent Mile, restaurants. Whole Foods is across the street which is very convenient for picking up a last minute snack or even dinner. The Irish Restaurant downstairs has excellent food choices.

Noticed the following: noise carries, sometimes random towels and glasses (used) found in the hallways, rooms are a little dated, and elevator waits sometimes tested one’s patience during high traffic times. Was also a little concerned upon check in because the front desk person was not overly welcoming and gave the impression that my group was an inconvenience. But chalked it up to being a late check-in (after 10pm) and maybe she was having a bad night? However, I could over look these pieces because… * location was great! We could walk everywhere and having a Whole Foods across the street was a nice bonus. * breakfasts were fantastic - even when busy. Great variety. * complimentary Happy Hour was generous and snacks were a nice touch. * any other staff we dealt with for the rest of our stay were helpful and friendly. Would keep this hotel on my list for future stays in Chicago.

We had a great experience staying at this Embassy Suites with our 3 young kids. The staff was so helpful and accommodating getting all our luggage to the room. The suite had all the space we needed to keep our kids fed, rested, and relatively happy between walks around Chicago. The breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening were lifesavers.

It was near the magnificent mile and walkable to a lot of different restaurants. Appreciated the complimentary breakfast, though not necessarily restaurant quality food. The happy hour was cool. The rooms are outdated and need deep cleaning. The bathroom was dirty with particulates stuck on the ceiling, dusty, rust on metal fixtures, stains in the tub, non-adjustable shower heads. Bath towels were often stained. The comfortable on the bed was old and worn down, and were fairly sure we got some bug bites from the room (from the bed? Couch? Carpeted floors?)… We don’t think the room was vacuumed regularly. The pool was nice to have for the kids. The elevators coming down from the rooms were so fast, they were a little scary. A fairly quality stay, but it definitely could have been a lot better.

Open atrium is loud late and early, not enough elevators - lengthy waits every single time going up and down, not enough seating in the lobby for breakfast, long lines / not enough staff for almost everything else - checking in, breakfast, happy hours, etc.
