“Looking forward to going back...”
Loved the hotel! Great location for the price. Everyone was friendly and never seemed annoyed with the many questions we had. They all knew the transportaion systems very well. Will stay at this hotel everytime I go back to Chicago!

Great hotel for the dollars. 2 blocks from the el; 3 or so from the "mile". restaurants nearby and Starbucks on the corner. Great place to stay for a weekend in Chicago. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful.

A block away from the Magnificent Mile, you're close to a lot of great shopping and some great restaurants. We got there early around 12 noon, and they had a room available for us already! Also room had a microwave and refrigerator, which was extremely convenient.

big rooms- nice pool + spa tub.great area with lots of restaurants and shoppping. close to trasportation. here you are in the heart of the magnificent mile.
“Family weekend”
We were there for a long weekend in April of 2009. The staff could not have been friendlier, always interacting with the kids and suggesting things to do. The rooms were good, not great. Nothing dramatic. The service is why we will return.
“Great bang for the buck!”
We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The nightly rate was very reasonable so we were not sure if the quality of our room and the hotel itself would be something we would be happy with. Everything (room, service, staff, etc) was very good! The only thing that, in our opinion, was lacking was there was not a bar in the hotel. This was not a huge deal because there are so many resturants/bars within walking distance, but a bar in the hotel itself would have been nice.

Checking in was efficient, although the gal at the desk spoke really fast and not very loud, so I had to ask her to repeat things often. The staff was friendly and always greeted us when we would walk by. One gal at the front desk was quite the whiz at multitasking! The rooms were quiet (except for the doors - for some reason, we could hear plenty from the hallways, but nothing from neighboring rooms), and the beds were oh, so very comfortable! (I'm doing online research and finding I can buy one!) My tween and I weren't impressed with the pool (water was cloudy, lights not working, shallow - only 42" at it's deepest), but according to expedia, this hotel is renovating it's pool from 5/31/10 thru 6/6/10. Hopefully that will take care of those issues. Since we drove there, we needed to park. Parking was actually pretty easy and spots were always available considering this was downtown Chicago. There are PLENTY of places to eat within walking distance if the two restaurants in the building didn't suit your needs and you didn't want to pay a fortune for room service. And Trader Joe's is next door if you are looking for a "make your own" meal or snack. "Free bottled water" in the room meant one bottle. There is a mini fridge in the room, so bring more. The lobby has a small store with snacks and other items, so that was handy. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
“convenient and clean...loved it!”
my mother and i booked a long weekend in chicago for a little christmas shopping. we've been to chicago several times, but this was the first time we stayed north of the chicago river. loved the location...a block from michigan ave. this was a fabulous little hotel for our little getaway. the rooms were super clean...and it has one of the cleanest hotel bathrooms i've ever seen. the ONLY complaint i had were the sheets on the beds. otherwise, it was great. you can't beat the price or location. we will definitely consider staying there again, next time we're itching for a little windy city shopping.
