Good place to stay

Posted Feb 4, 2015
I like this hotel only problem is sometimes they do not have available room. It is good place for family and friend. It is in the small shopping mall, restaurants, TJ max ,and movie teather. Pro :you can walk around. Free breakfast and lobby coffee. Con : far from highway. No shuttle Good for family and friends with car traveling.

Clean comfortable property with friendly staff

Posted Jan 26, 2015
Location: Blackfinn Grill (sports bar) and E&O (upscale bistro), Pei Wei, Panera, AMC movie theater all in the same shopping center
Hotel is well located, with shopping and restaurant within the same shopping center. Rooms are clean, and the staff is very helpful with restaurant suggestions.

Bad Checkin Experience

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness and all the basic stuff that constitutes a facility of this sort.
Cons: Customer service at the front desk
Location: Eggsperience restaurant in the shopping center is a good alternative to the usual breakfast fare served at the Hampton. And it opens at 6:00 am!
When my wife and arrived at the Hampton at 1:30 pm on Thanksgiving Day, we were given a room at the far end of the hall on the 4th floor, a LONG walk from the elevator. When we called to inquire about the availability of a room closer to the elevator, the girl at the front desk said they were all sold out, and none were available--hard to believe given the size of the hotel and the fact that we were checking in early. During the next three days of our stay, we observed the supposed "crowds" of guests. Never did it seem that the hotel was close to full capacity. The parking garage, for example, was never entirely full--one-half to one-fourth would be a better estimate. When my wife mentioned the situation to the front desk person at checkout, he said we should have been allowed to move to a new room upon checkin. Also, at checkin, I had to ask the girl to post my Hilton Honors points and I had to ask for my complimentary refreshments. And she did not explain how to navigate the entrance to the parking garage, which is triggered by the room "key" and a bit tricky to manipulate. This lack of basic customer service is not what I have grown to expect from a Hilton-owned property.

"Exceptional Choice" for relaxing stay.

Posted Nov 16, 2014
Pros: Everything, especially the personal boutique touches. Really happy they had underground parking for safety, to keep my car protected from bad weather
Cons: As an Interior Decorator for Hospitality projects, some d├ęcor could use a little update. Overall, lobby & rooms are welcoming. Good Feng Shui.
Location: Liked the location as the area felt safe, and comfortable. Didn't have time to explore.
Since I only come to Chicago area once a year I always seem to get lost somewhere trying to get to my hotel and the place I had to go to the following day. Should've had a GPS. Once we arrived, the best Hotel staff made us feel @ home immediately & assured me they'd print out directions to where I had to be the next day. It was quite comforting after being lost 2 hrs. Had the best night sleep, as well as the best breakfast the following day. Hampton Inn has a handle on what a guest needs and the Royal service starts when you arrive & your promptly registered until you depart. If I'd had the time, I would've stayed another day or longer. They deliver what they promise.

Great hotel in the middle of a mall.

Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was really good. Underground parking is very nice as the mall area is always crowded. Requested and got a rollaway bed without any hassles.
Location: Localed in the middle of the Randhurst Village mall. Costco is next door as well as some good restaurants and shops. Chicago downtown is 30 mins drive
We stayed here for a couple of nights when visiting Chicago. Very conveniently located, shopping and dining is walkable. Close to highways as well for a quick trip downtown.
