“Terrible place”
Even do not want to remember it. I'll never go there again
“Hilton Oak Lawn”
This hotel met my basic needs. However, its the first hotel I have stayed at in the last 10 years that did not have a microwave or a dorm refridgerator in the room. I was under the impression that all hotel rooms have this in 2011. I guess not. The big plus is this is the most centrally located hotel on the South Side of Chicago. If I had a layover this is where I would stay.
“Great Hotel”
Great Hotel with great lounge and breakfast buffet
“Great Hotel very comfortable”
excellent comfortable beds
“Nice hotel for the price”
I wasn't at the hotel for very long, but my family loved the time they were there. Easy to find also
“Excellent place to stay on the Southwest Side”
It had all the ammenities. I especially liked the" Breakfast Buffet". Plenty of food and variety.
“Will definitely stay there again!”
This is a nice, clean and comfortable hotel, The staff is professional and friendly. Shopping area is close and safe.
“White Sox Lost but the Hotel was Great”
I stayed at the Oak Lawn Hilton to visit some family and see the White Sox play the last game of the season, they lost... but my 2 night stay at the Hilton was great. The Hotel and property were clean and cared for. My room was prepared and clean and the housekeeping staff was efficient. The airport shuttle service and the Bell staff were great! I came in late and the hotel shuttle was finished for the night but without question they sent the shuttle back out to Midway for me. It was a great help and saved an expensive cab ride. I only ate breakfast at the hotel but the first morning i had a business meeting there ant the wait staff never rushed us, EVEN AFTER THE KITCHEN CLOSED for breakfast. They offered a buffet line that included all you could want, that's what I had, and the kitchen is open for orders. All in all a good stay and I'll be back when in the city again.
“Loud train right by.”
The only problem with the hotel is the VERY LOUD train that is literally 200 ft from the hotel. The train passes every 20-30 minutes and subsequently a half dozen car alarms go off in the parking lot. Luckily I'm a pretty sound sleeper. I was on the 5th floor (505.) If I had stayed on the opposite side of the tower (round hotel) then I think the stay would have been quite good. So, if you want to stay there then go high in the building (higher than 5 if you can ) and opposite side I stayed in (rooms xx12, 13, 14 or 15) If you do that I'm sure your stay would be in the 4 star range.
“If there is a choice of '0', we would rate this hotel '0' for all above items, such a insults!”
This is a final sale and non-refundable accommodation but it cancelled on us while we are travelling to Chicago and left us late at night in Chicago areas wondering where to stay for 2 nights and the worst is Hilton Oak Lawn don't even offer the right help!
