Love the location! Love the staff!

Posted Aug 14, 2014
I stayed with children and I felt the location was very walkable, safe and beautiful, even at night. The local stores and restaurants had everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Be prepared to pay for mandatory valet, however, and amenities like wifi and breakfast. There is no pool.

Close to college campus

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Beds & proximity to college
Cons: Bathrooms were too small
Location: College campus, lots of restaurants
Wifi was included when I booked through when I checked in, the front desk employee insisted that wifi included meant that it is available in the lobby but not the room. I was tired & did not engage in a debate. When I checked out, I mentioned this & the front desk employee (a different one) apologized & refunded part of the valet fee instead.

Very disappointed

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: Nothing
The staff wasn't friend at all. In the morning I requested toiltry and towes I called them three times and they never brought my toiletry and towels. I called them for the fourth time and told them that I was checking out because I didn't have to wait almost one hour and they never helped me.

Great experience...

Posted Aug 4, 2014
This hotel delivered as promised and more. The staff was courteous and accommodating, the room was roomy and clean, and the location was convenient for us. We were visiting my daughter in the city, and for a suburban hotel, the proximity to the train made getting back and forth relatively simple. Highly recommend.

Great hotel in a wonderful location

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and the neighborhood was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.
Location: The neighborhood around the hotel is full of wonderful local restaurants, coffee shops and book stores. Northwestern is practically next door.
This hotel was within a very reasonable driving distance to all the locations we were visiting during our stay and the price was great. It's surrounded by an abundance of local restaurants (and a couple of chains), coffee shops, book stores, etc. Overall, this was a very charming area.

The décor is very trendy. I liked it a lot.

Location: We stayed there because we were in the Run for Walk sponsored by Northwestern Athletics. We were able to walk all around the Northwestern campus.
We were only there a short time but the room was very nice. I like the sitting area in the lobby and the café looked very nice even though we did not eat there.

It wasn't a bad stay, exactly, but I was disappointed with the fact that there was no free wi-fi and no blankets in the rooms, only sheets. Also had a confusion with the continental (but not free) breakfast, as I was told by the night concierge that breakfast was free, then found out from our server that in fact the buffet was 17 dollars, only cereal and fruit was free, after already grabbing from the hot bar. It may very well have been a new staff member's confusion, but the waiter said it had happened many times. Overall, okay, but the fact is it wouldn't be hard to make it much better and the Hilton Garden Inn nearby is superior in nearly every way for a comparable rate.

Pretty ordinary hotel but best around.

Rooms are Ok. Bath was tiny 5' X 6'. Had to stand sidewise to wash your face. Restaurant was pretty good. Excellent location.

Great bed but barking dogs... no

Posted Jun 16, 2014
Pros: clean comfortable room
Cons: No dogs
Location: Perfect locations. great restaurants rand shopping all around
My room was large, the bed comfy and clean. The restaurant and lobby were not clean and smelled. The tv was blaring in the lounge area - very strange set-up. They allow dogs apparently - room next door had TWO barking dogs - I complained for 2 days about them - to no avail. Otherwise the location was ideal the staff friendly and helpful.
