Hotel is great, Front Door operation is the worstPosted Sep 12, 2013
Cons: The front door management
I like everything about this hotel except the front door operation. You will need to wait for your car longer then the 10 minutes they ask you to wait, even at 5:30 am, when I was the only one getting a car at that time. Also, they won't help you with your bags because they are too busy and way understaffed. The front door staff are very nice, but are completely mismanaged. This is my 2nd time staying because I thought it would improve, but now it was to the point that I would stay somewhere else simply because of this issue...It's that frustrating.

Very comfortable stay.Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: Staff friendliness, location and cleanliness.
Cons: Harder pillows. Too soft. Air-conditioning unit is a little too loud.
Location: Excellent location. Within a few blocks there 10's of restaurants and bars.
It's was an amazing hotel. Situated close to public transport and a large number of restaurants and bars. 4 blocks from the beach at Lake Michigan.

Great location, but small roomsPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: The location
Cons: The cleanliness of the room.
It is right in downtown Evanston, so it's near many restaurants and shops. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny. It was difficult to wash off my makeup in the tiny sink. The room was extremely dusty. I asked that they correct this, but it was consistently dusty. I believe it was from the comforter. It wasn't horrible, but too expensive for the experience. I won't be staying there again.

Bad servicePosted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is in a great location if you are in Evanston. I was there 3 days. There was NO housekeeping. The phone in my room did not work...so I couldn't call for front desk, wake up, room service etc. Had to pay $ per day for Valet. No free parking as advertised.

Convenient to Northwestern & Garrett campusesPosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a good stay at the Hilton Orrington - Evanston. It is very convenient to the Northwestern & Garrett Seminary campuses, which was our purpose. Many yummy restaurants within walking distance. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, and the only viable parking option was valet at $22 per night, which we thought was a bit on the steep side. Will probably stay here again when we return to the Evanston area.
